Opening Night is here! I'm not excited at all, however...

Not a bad effort against the defending champs, actually.

Vinny Prospal has looked solid. Gaborik is clearly the best player on the ice when he's out there. Dubi's progress over the summer is obvious - he's looked great tonight and last night.
Redden is still atrocious.

Del Zotto looks WORLDS better than he did the first game. I'll tell you the wild card I never considered for this team was their young guns stepping up. I really didn't think you could bank on GIlroy or Del Zotto for anything this year but they've helped tremendously.

3-1, woo woo woo ... he's worth every penny, 4 goals and 6 points overall to start his ranger career

last year the rangers wouldn't win a game like this.
amazing how a team plays with a head coach that isn't dumb.

Gabs just opens everything up. He really is the best player on the ice. I fn love hockey I can't believe it was gone for so long.

Hmm, should we get excited? Or is this another fast start on our way to oblivion by the end of the season? Stay tuned...

Kotalik is giving us what I complained that Zherdev didn't give us last year for half the money. I sold Sather short on some of the personnel losses but the way the team is busting out of the gate they could turn a lot of heads.

Wow, an offensive explosion! We scored more than some NFL teams this weekend. I wish we could save some of those goals for when we really need them...

That goal by Gaborik last night was just perfect. He's got a little Ovechkin in him where he just makes everything he does look EASY.

AFter that loss, time to get back to earth... I didn't get to see much of the Sharks last year but they looked like the real deal last night.
