Is this discussion even necessary?

Why not just keep both KD and Irving and compete for a championship with Simmons, Curry, Harris, Mills, O'Neale, and company?

Is this doable? This course of action sure seems like a better approach than trading away KD, Irving and completely rebuilding the roster.

Nets have a Championship level roster and wants out.

If we bring those guys back the hemistry is so toxic I really doubt we can win anything. Or recruit any worthwhile FAs to Brooklyn.v

The Nets have set Durant's price as an All Star and 4 to 5 firsts. A rotation player as well.

No contending team wants to give that up because it defeats the purpose of for trading him.

100%. I really think KD has done us a solid by putting this out there on the first day of free agency.

Hes got 4 years left on his deal and he's in the discussion of all the all time greats of the NBA. He can't afford to sit out a season because of a trade request and the Nets have all the leverage, especially since KD plus Ben and the role players isn't a bad team even if Kyrie (fack him) doesnt suit up. KD simply will play even if he doesn't want to.

Agreed, I think Marks/Tsai realize they are in the driver's seat.....Hopefully. Woj is the mouthpiece for Marks so whatever he is saying is what Marks is telling him. So not granting their request would be the best thing and karma for what has happened to this team the past three years.

Its starting to feel like Toronto won't add Barnes.

KD obviously doesn't want to play in Canada. And I think Toronto fears KD playing out the year and asking out again.

If so, I have no interest in doing business with them.
