i.e. if the nets trade him for dinwiddie and salary filler that saves $6m or so, does that get them close or do they need to do more maneuvering than that?

It depends on whether we're filling out the roster with minimums or actually wanting to bring back Brown and use some exceptions.[/quote]

let's go with the latter where we want to bring back Brown and use 1 exception above minimum (whatever that is).

if they shave off the $7m with the Kyrie/Dallas trade above (or similar) and get Ayton to take an AAV at $32m, that would have them $5m below the apron with i think 7 contracts on the books? would that scenario allow them to bring back Brown and add someone else with an exception?

Yes. That hasn't changed because KD is a headcase.

The moment Nash is fired, we need to make a massive lucrative offer to Quinn Synder.

Now that KD is back on board and I’d assume Kyrie’s extension talks could resume during the season.

It’s the perfect time to bring up again, this team desperately needs Quinn Snyder.

I'm a big fan of Quin Snyder, but I'm still pulling for E.T. as the next head coach.

KD or no KD doesn't change the fact that Nash is not a good coach.
