Although Claxton is one of the better defensive centers in the league already, for Dinwiddie to at one point say he's the second most talented Nets player behind KD, there has to be a lot more than he's shown so far offensively, right?

At this point, I don't think so. The coaching staff doesn't let him take jumpers even though we saw him shoot them in college.

With Ben maybe that changes so they can play together effectively? The two of them could be an elite duo defensively but you have to find a way to make things work offensively too.
Also interesting that there's been no center added as of yet and it's just Claxton/Sharpe on the roster.

Maybe a trade is looming, or maybe Marks is just f*cking up. I can't tell anymore.

Cav's may well be interested in off loading Colin and Seth is a great get for any team.
I only consider trading Seth if it appears he will move on after this coming season.
Sexton is younger and basically does 95% what Kyrie does with less drama.
A good back court partner for Ben and would probably sign an extension here in the 18 to 20mill per mark.
Any interest?
We can't take on a signed and traded player due to the hard cap implications.

If Colin takes his QO this season as appears he wont accept the Cavs 3y/40mill offer , can Nets trade for him at that value which is similar to Curry`s , then later offer him an extension if he looks good still and fits well.TheNetsFan wrote:Rastas wrote:With some here worried Curry will bolt after this season - would a Curry for Sexton trade interest any.

What's the deal with David Duke? Are we basically just waiting for someone else to sign him at this point? :-/

We offered him a 2 way. He wants a regular contract. Marks doesn't want to sign him and then have to cut him to be able to take back multiple players in a KD or Kyrie deal.

Day'ron, Kessler, and Ben were all in attendance for the Liberty last night. When Ionescu is on her A game it's must watch basketball if you love hoops.

KD wants the Nets to sign Melo.
“Nic Claxton — whose starts have gone from zero to one to 19 in his three years in the league — has proclaimed himself ready to seize the center spot. But with DayRon Sharpe the only other 5 on the roster, it wouldn’t be a shock to see them look for a backup/competition for Claxton. And if they wanted to appease Durant, they could bring in Carmelo Anthony, a move he’s wanted them to make,” Lewis writes.

Of course KD wants Melo.
But KD is not GM anymore.
We obviously need a backup Center. Give me Dwight.
Melo is washed/useless.
