Hello Brooklyn wrote:Joe Harris being injured still is very concerning.

What if he has a reoccurring issue? That would be a huge loss I'm not sure we can recover from.

On the brightside, I don't think the other teams in the East scare me too much.

Boston is the best team, but they have this coaching fiasco. Which could make them vulnerable.

Philly is still relying on James Harden in the playoffs. LOL.

Milwaukee I've never bought into as some great team. Luckiest path to a title ever. Middleton is severely overrated as some second star.

We now can put Royce on Middleton.

The only team that can beat the Nets outside of the Warriors, is the Nets. Period

Well, after that debacle of an opener, I'm revising my expectations downward.

I now think it's 75% likely that the wheels fall off completely, with Nash getting fired, his replacement not making much of a difference, Kyrie and KD checking out, Simmons flatlining, the team getting spanked by every good team they play and missing the playoffs, and Marks burning it to the ground next summer and starting over.

What a freaking waste.

Team looks like a .500 team tbh. Maybe if KD can carry like last season and injuries don't hurt them too much they can crack 50.

1) Is this team indeed a title contender?
No. At present they are simply a contender to win one playoff series.

2) What's the biggest x-factor for the Nets?
I don't believe they have one beyond the usual injuries/trafes/drama. KD and Irving are simply too ball dominant to allow an X factor to flourish. So far I guess its Clax. I could see Joe Harris returning to form being a potential X factor but don't forget he flourished with Atkinsons system and without the super ball hogs.

3) What will our win total roughly be?
48

4) How far will we ultimately go?
Win one playoff series

5) Will there be a major shakeup before the deadline, such as Nash being fired, or KD / KI / Harris / etc being shipped out?
I hope Nash is fired but they seem married to him. (Why?) But to answer this question. Yes one of the above will happen.

6) Any other surprises or interesting developments you foresee?

Return to Brooklyn Nets
