Head Coach Steve Nash and Staff Tracker Thread

Post#1 » by Stone » Wed Oct 19, 2022 11:26 am

The purpose of this thread is to have an honest discussion and-or debate on our coaching staff. The good and the bad. Today is the start of a new season so let's give them a clean slate.

With KD coming out publicly and calling for Coach Nash and Sean Marks to be fired it is safe to say that there is plenty of bad blood in the ranks. Can the Nets get past all of that and make a run for our first finals appearance in 20 years?

BROOKLYN – The Brooklyn Nets have named Igor Kokoškov, Adam Caporn and Trevor Hendry as assistant coaches. They join Jacque Vaughn, Brian Keefe, Tiago Splitter, Royal Ivey and Ryan Forehan-Kelly on Head Coach Steve Nash’s staff.

Igor is the offensive coordinator if I'm not mistaken.

So far, the offense has looked a lot better. Lots of off ball action, and guys are playing unselfishly.

Igor gets a clean slate, but Nash does not.

The team is flawed at all 3 levels from team composition to head coaching to nepotism at the top.

I used to love this franchise, but so many things feel rotten and have been this way since we traded grit and culture for flash and rhetoric.

The lesson? All that glitters is not good.

Fire Nash!

It'll take a graphic indictment on Nash to get him fired.

Until the brass is serious about winning, this will be as it always was... a clown show

Fire Nash already.

What has he shown other than half a season of otherworldly play which was carried by D'Antoni + Harden. KD at his age should not be playing damn near the entire game carrying us just to remain competitive against meh teams, and that is all I have seen in Nash's entire tenure.

Nash is the worst coach in the history of the sport.

He doesn't even deserve a title of a coach. He is just...there. I don't even know what his purpose is.

Letting go of D'Antoni was the biggest mistake. Second was letting go of Udoka.

When Mike was here the offense was always good, even when it was KD+Kyrie to start the season, then became the KD solo act when Kyrie skipped work, then when it was Harden+Kyrie, then KD+Kyrie+Harden the offense was always flowing and the team never struggled to really score the ball.

There are some people that think Kyrie and KD are tuning out the offense but the 2021 season proves that isn't the case. Nash is horrible and should be fired. If Marks doesn't fire him before January he can go too.
