KD has been on fire hence they avoided running set plays. You go with the flow of the game

His latest Twitter response to BKN85 says otherwise. That’s the concern, is he serious about winning a ship here. Why is he saying it’s a reach? There’s to much talent and money invested in this team to say crap like that
You misunderstood the tweet.
Please help me clarify then. And I love the ball movement and defense against the Wizards so far.

BKN85 is basically one of us. He's a fan who criticizes the team a lot. He posted the championship stuff sarcastically. KD knows all of Nets Twitter. KD was just trolling him back by saying "maybe you need a break from the team buddy". It was funny lol

I know he's just fulfilling his contract, but that's a lot more than a lot of NBA players can say. KD's been nothing but all in with this team, he signed a 4 year deal (which will look like an absolute bargain once the cap goes up) with zero fuss or fanfare whereas Kyrie and Harden deferred and deferred, he saw this team was heading down the wrong direction and asked for a trade on the first day of free agency and 4 years to run on his deal to give us the best chance for a great return, and then backed down on his request once he and boss Tsai saw the Nets weren't going to get what they wanted. I still lol at the teams that balked at giving up some random ass players for KD, Scottie Barnes? You gotta be kidding me.
This team has a lot of problems, but Durant is NOT one of them. He's the only one in fact that's stopping us from being a laughingstock.

yea good point, this is true. He plays a ton of minutes, we can't even let him rest for 4 minutes on the bench without giving up the lead on most nights. Meanwhile other star players around the league are on their load management crap already. I gotta give it to KD, I didn't think he would give us this much effort tbh especially after the trade request, but he's a baller and one of the GOATs .
I still think we can contend, especially after Ben Simmons looks like he's back to his old self. We just need to stay healthy (fingers crossed) and play at least 20-30 games with this full group to gain chemistry. We was gaining so much traction in the last few games with our big 3 but Ben Simmons might need to rest on back to backs. Yuta and TJ Warren coming back should definitely help us too. But we still need that big man.

Marks seems to be good at finding undervalued guys in the offseason. He hasn't proven he can make the right in-season trade to shore up the team's weaknesses.
With that said, I think we've quietly turned a corner. I'm giving Vaughn a lot of credit for that.
Last 15 games:
10-5 (tied for 2nd in the league with a bunch of other teams)
8th in offense
4th in defense (that includes allowing 150+ to Sacramento)
5th in Net RTG
Top 10 in offense and defense is usually a sign of a contender. The schedule's been a little weak but we also had FOUR back to backs in that stretch. Also obviously missed a lot of Ben and Kyrie during those games.
Outside of KD going nuts, I'm loving what Vaughn is doing with the team. Quick Popovic timeouts. Really getting on the team and Kyrie specifically. He doesn't mind benching guys when they're playing stupid basketball. My biggest problem with Nash was that it seemed like he didn't care. At all. I still don't think he did. Vaughn absolutely cares. He's engaged in the game. Arguing with refs. Calling plays. Telling guys where to be. He brings a passion and joy that the team desperately needed.

Vaughn coaches like he's 30 seconds away from grabbing his sneakers and shorts and hitting the court himself. He's won me over.

Vaughn yelled at them to get moving multiple times and even screamed at them; Vaughn knows while Nash is Trash, that it was also on the players to put in the effort. The effort was exposed against Orlando and especially Philly/Sacto.

I'm not sure how old you are, but Vaughn was the starting SG on the Nets the year where Jason Kidd and Vince Carter went on a tear through the east post all star break. He knows 100% about effort.

32, I am aware he played for the Nets and have been following them since 2002. Jkidd, Kittles,Martin, Jefferson, Collins, Mutombo, etc..... And I remember when the Nets fired Byron Scott and brought in Lawrence Frank to reel off 14 straight wins thereafter. I love my Nets.

That season when Vince got traded here was crazy. I was down in the dumps over it because RJ got hurt, K-Mart left and the roster was in shambles. Then Vince came and he and Kidd (w/ Vaughn in tow) took a bunch of scrubs and went to WORK.
