Id like to see Joe sent out. I loved watching him for awhile but that disastrous playoff series I feel he never fully rebounded from.

Hes streaky shooter. Liability on defense and plays too many big minutes.

Joe's not so much a streaky shooter as he is a guy whose shooting is great when he's not dealing with nagging injuries or fatigue, and the reverse when he is.

Some guys can kind of power through that, but Harris is a hustle guy with not the greatest margin of error.

TheNetsFan wrote:Some Cleveland writer had Joe Harris as a name to watch for Cleveland in a recent article. I don't know how legit the guy is, but aside from Allen, who they won't trade, there's nobody that they would trade and matches salary that would make us better. LeVert is likely the guy they would offer (if legit) and I'd rather have Joe unless Marks is trying to shed his 2023-2024 salary.

LeVert's interesting in being two years younger and more of a 'do everything' guy than Joe is.

Downside is he gets injured on a regular basis, and if you thought Joe had a streaky 3ball... heh.

Joe isn't a defensive liability. He is a very good defender.

He's been our best perimeter defender, which is largely the reason why he's part of our 4 most efficient lineups.

So how is this different/not a streaky shooter?

Because of what I said above.

As in-- some players can be at maximum rest and health, and still be streaky as hell. Joe's an overachiever who can be super-efficient when managed well and used correctly.

His pure shooting skill is topnotch IMO, but he's just not the physical beast and athletic specimen as some other players. Part of why he went in the 2nd round and why the Nets got him for nothing.

He's a success story because of how hard he works on his skillset and on the court, but his ceiling was always going to be limited IMO.

This entire month plus some January days is about how TJ and Ben look. Than you can go and jump into conclusions. Them two will make or break our PO. We already know how KD and Kyrie are with rotation players vs top dogs.
