The issue is that the Spurs were doing that when they were an elite team. Not a middle of the pack team.

JV is playing a silly game. Completely unnecessary too. My guess is Cam demands a trade in the summer and shines somewhere else. Meanwhile Seth Curry walks in the offseason.

at this rate I wouldn't mind shipping him out if JV is gonna play this game with the young guy.

Not trading Curry was a big mistake too. You can't tell me some contender wouldn't have wanted him as an 8-10th guy deep on the bench. Had to be something out there.
