Wouldya Do It?

Collins, Magloire and a future 1st for Brad Miller

Trade ID #4410531

Some say he would slow our fast break, which is finally getting up to Kidd's speed, and put even more pressure on our D. I say his "defense-iencies" would be offset somewhat, with either Boone or Williams alongside him at all times. And his offensive prowess is elite for a bigman, which could seriously help us in the Princeton half-court set.

SO, what'll it be?

I would rather rebuild than bring in Miller.

We got lucky that we saved Carters career for a bit but Millers has reached it's peak and it is on the way down very fast.

He actually lost a bunch of weight and is playing really well this season but because he slacked off for a year and got fat he has a bad rep around RealGM. But if you watch him this year you'll see his D, rebounding, etc. is better and his passing+J is as good as ever. He's not declining.

BMiller52 is right. His numbers are right on par with players like Odom, but he could be a bargain compared to some other veteran bigs.

no, for the mere fact combining Magloire's expiring with RJ will net us a better player.

the whole, carter or jefferson who to trade thing really comes down to this. who are we trading for? ex: if we trade for someone like ak-47 then we should move carter as we would move into more of a full-court minded team. but if we trade for someone like JO then we should move RJ as it would make us an all around better half-court team.

I'm a big Vince proponent, and I'm not interested in trading him, when he barely gives us a better chance than RJ does of returning an elite bigman (that means, from KG to Brand). The return we would get for him would never justify his departure, for sure.

But if you feel differently, make a dream VC trade proposal, and see how it does in the Trades Forum.

Pugsley, This is a reasonable answer.

The only thing Kidd is better in a running system. You trade RJ. You trade Kidd's only remaining running mate from his Finals trips.

we haven't drafted anyone worthwhile in the second round in a long time. i wouldn't say its valuable to us at all.
