The Knicks played better. That's what went wrong for the Nets.

newsflash: the Nets are a .500 team this year. No better, no less. It's been the same thing all season long. I actually would prefer the Nets losing against clearly inferior teams because that'll force Thorn's hand into making a deal before the trade deadline. This team obviously doesn't mesh well together at it's current state.

Yeah, what's a Game Thread for?

I'll call my condition right now Guy Smiley syndrome. When the rest of the board acts like the sky is falling, I'll calmly exaggerrate on something related or some other tangent.

I know I shouldn't reply to this - it's all in the game thread, but to answer your question.

Nets came out hot - ran away with the first quarter, Kidd had 10 assists in the first Q alone. (ouch)

Knicks ran away with the 2nd & 3rd quarters. A lot of the Knicks pulling ahead (at one point, up by 15), had to do with hustle from our bench (Lee, Balkman, Nate) as well as solid play from Zach & Craw and even Eddy Curry.

See, the truth that most people don't want to admit is - when the Knicks play well, we're a good team. Take the Heat - the Heat have only 8 wins this year, but nobody is going to convince me that if Wade & Shaq have good games, that the heat couldn't beat most any team in the league.

Same is true with NY, when Craw hits his shots and when Zach rebounds and plays the post and doesn't force too much and when Balk & Lee and nate give us a spark off the bench - then NY has a better than even chance of wining.

Craw even made some nifty defensive plays.

Still, I give your nets credit, your guys came back from 15 down when the game looked over, and took a 1 pt lead with a couple minutes left. The game was a see-saw battle and it came down to Craw hitting a 3 and Kidd missing one in the final 2 minutes - after that, Jersey had to foul to try to get back in it and the game went to the Knicks.

The Knicks also made like 28 out of 31 FTs - had we not been so hot from the line, this could easily have been Jersey's game.

The Knicks had already beaten the Nets twice this year. This game was more difficult because the Knicks were on the 2nd end of a Back-to-Back - which explains the poor 1st Quarter by the Knicks.

Uhhh...Actually I believe the definition of losing is because the other team plays better than you. So, even though as much as I hate to admit it, the Knicks played better than us last night, and they have in every meeting this season. I think the Nets are a still a better team than the Knicks, but they played better than us last night.

I agree 1000%...Knicks owned the 2nd 3rd qrts...played well on both sides of the floor...and over the last three games their depth has been on display...

there is nothing more that makes we want to throw my shoe threw my TV than bad ft shooting...
