NJN-NYK deal?

Post#1 » by kidd007 » Wed Jan 30, 2008 4:10 pm

Looks like isiah is trying to acquire Kidd, with E.Curry amd Balkman. What do you guys think about it?
I personally like the deal. But i would never trade Kidd to the knicks, and he does not want to play there, for sure.

No Thanks.

That isnt going to happen. kidd wants to go to a competitive team. Thorn isnt going to trade him for crap. We already have a player that lacks a competitive nature why would we want another.

I'd only do it if the Knicks sent back an unprotected '08 and '09 pick and the Knicks would add Marbury's deal to the package with the Nets adding Collins and Carter to there package.

Doubtful, but perhaps if Thorn and Kidd have a good relationship with Thomas.

No Curry. As a stretch of imagination, if we're taking bad contracts, maybe Ratner would rather want Marbury, b/c of Brooklyn ties. Otherwise it'll be salary relief and Knicks youngs and draft picks. But I can't see it. Unlike Marbury, Kidd still produces, and there's no point in taking Marbury unless the plan is to resign him cheap to market the Brooklyn move.

But if there's a bad team Kidd could go, it might be the Knicks. He doesn't have to move from his house. The MSG fanbase and Garden are great basketball. Though there'll be a Nets fan backlash, and he would still has to deal with the NY/NJ area media, which I think he's very sick and tired of.

you arent allowed to send first round picks in back to back years..

not to mention you are asking way too much for a player who doesnt want to be on your team.

Isiah is dumb though...so who knows.

if you guys also want to get rid of vince, ny would be the only team willing to absorb both contracts. but it would probably be marbury/crawford/expirings

crawfords pretty good and gets paid 24 mil less than vc over the next 4 years. but overall its a lateral to gain cap flexibility

At this point I would do a VC for crawford and whatever.

Though VC is a far superior player, but Crawford wants the ball in crunch time and has balls. If maybe coming to a better team crawford can up his D and shoot better. I know he will run the floor.

Kidd
Crawford
RJ
Swill
Boone

Works for me.
