Lets say the Kidd deal doesn't go down, whats next?

I think we still have to make this team better for a run. There has been rumors that Mike Miller could be in a NJ uni this year. So this deal goes down.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=24~498~1723~558&teams=29~29~29~17&te=&cash

Boki, Mags, & DA go to Memphis for Mike Miller.

Memphis gets their expirings and let go of a big contract. They are looking to rebuild around Gay & Conley so they pull the trigger. The Nets get that consistent shooter that they have been lacking since the departure of Kerry Kittles.

So after that trade is completed, we are looking at open spots on our roster with a lack of Guards and plenty of bigs. So then we make another deal.

Stro can be traded, but he can just not be packaged with any other player. Orlando needs deph at the 4 and 5 so they make this deal. JJ Redick has been wanting out of Orlando so he can get more playing time and Orlando is stacked at PG where Nelson just got a contract extension and where management loves Dooling.

Stro goes to Orlando for JJ Redick & Carlos Arroyo.

The Nets would have a better bench while leaving there starting rotation alone. Kidd stays in NJ, but with a better team. I see all of these deals as realistic because of the circumstances with the teams (Memphis wants to rebuild and Orlando publically stated that they need another big.

PG- Kidd/Arroyo/Marcus
SG- VC/Wright/Redick
SF- RJ/Miller
PF- Nenad/Allen
C- Boone/SWAT

Wright could alternate at the 2 & 3 as a backup while JJ gets more playing time. We lack tall big men but we are better shooters. RJ can get time at the 4 with Miller at 3 if Nenad becomes tired. You can't trust Allen and his jumpshot every game.

I pretty much made that trade for depth on the roster and in the backcourt. After the Miller trade we only had 11 guys on the team. RJ could play at the 4 in spurts during the game so i thought it was a good.

Well here are some thing's Id change in the situation you proposed:

1.Instead of the 1st trade do this one instead
http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.ph ... id=4512163

DA is much more important to us than Allan, we have too many bigs and getting rid of Allan would force Frank to play Swift more, Memphis wont really care what players they're getting as long as they have expiring contracts like Allan does.

2.Just cancel the 2nd trade all together, I dont know why but in the few minutes he was given here Swift has bee playing like the **** and he wasnt even given a single oppurtonity with Kidd which can be deadly- Im talking Kidd Martin deadly.

This team can still be very relevent and competitive, and if the Dallas deal falls we should really really offer any expiring combo(that doesnt have Nenad) for Miller that would make us scary in the play-off with HUGE potential to knock out ANY team.

i would just add Antoine Wright along with Boki, Mags and DA to try to get Lowry, who is another shooter. And there goes another expiring for Memphis.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
