Me too but i can't see him leaving the Clippers this summer considering his injury .

Why should Marion opt out nobody can pay him that much money this summer , unless he already worked something out with Miami or something .

1. The list of 2008 free agents and teams with spending room has been done

2. Re Marion, I'd wager he opts out. It will be the same sort of reasoning as Vince Carter opting out. Further explanation is in the thread linked above

Thanks, Gump.

What do you think about the proposal I had - Harris, Josh Boone and filler S+T to Miami or the Clippers in return for Marion or Brand?

Does it work contractually? I think Miami makes the trade - they're currently short a point guard and a center... not really sure at all what the Clips need, since almost all of their players are up in the air this summer sans Kaman.

I think the play would be for Brand if he's healthy. And I wonder if the Clipps would have a big desire for VC and his star quality. If not, I don't see a package that really works.

But if they really want VC, I'd do

VC - [one of Harris or Williams] - [one of Boone or Krstic]

If they want Harris whose contract is bigger, there would probably be something else coming back the other way to make the numbers work, I think. (I didnt pull out the calculator.)

While that looks like a big pile of talent, I think Brand would be worth it. Ya gotta have a big man if you want to go forward. Gotta.

I could see the Clippers being interested in VC for the star quality you mentioned.

The problem with sending Harris and VC is that the Clips probably couldn't send enough salary back unless they threw in Livingston, which I don't think they'd do.

VC - Williams - Boone would be my prefered move, but I can see the Clips pressing for Sean Williams. Maybe we'd have to throw in a draft pick?

Agree with you that a big man would be great for this team.

I give them Williams, but not Harris. :noway:

Yeah, because we need two overpriced one dimensional players on this team. Maybe we can pick up Steve Francis and Stephon Marbury as well. Is Glenn Robinson available?

Here's the players available potentially as free agents this offseason that I would consider trading Devin Harris for.

1. Elton Brand
2. Shawn Marion

That's it. Gilbert won't improve our team, and a Gilbert-VC-RJ trio would be worse than the Kidd-VC-RJ trio was.

I would definitely consider those players over Arenas. I wouldn't want a trio of Gilber-VC-RJ. However, if we did get him, I would try to trade VC for Elton Brand. An Arenas, RJ, Brand trio intrigues me more because we would have a dangerous perimeter scorer, a dangerous wing and slasher, and a dangerous post scorer. And maybe we can trade RJ along with a pick for Marion, that way we will have a trio of Arenas, Marion and Brand! LOL, I might be talking crazy because I'm currently bored out of my mind, so if you disagree with me, take it easy on me will ya? LOL

By the way Arenas isn't a one dimensional player. He will get you 24 points, 6 assist, 4 rebounds and 2 steals a game...

Livingston makes no sense. The injury issues make him difficult to properly evaluate for a trade, so he wont be included.

Also S Williams makes no sense because the Clipps already have a C they love (Kaman). They don't need a C. Keep what you have.

You get a PF (Brand) and thats why you send a PF Krstic or Boone. And they NEED a younger PG so Harris or Williams. I know Harris quotye well but dont have a good feel on Marcus. But in general I dont think you get Brand for VC on the talent meter - you need more to pique their interest.

last night he showed something different against the spurs. He showed he is willing to pass. Needs to learn how to lead a break though. but his willingness to pass is what we need out of him. he is a good shooter and driver but we need a point that can set up other players. only rj and carter can get their own shots. everyone else needs someone to get it for them.

I think the mistakes he made last night were timing issues and rust from the month layoff, he made some great passes though for the assists he did get. If we had more cutting in the paint area he would get a lot more.

the fact that noone can play up to their potential is enough to fire that joker frank. It's not even about the effort anymore like it was before. Carter is playing hard. RJ has always as do our other guys. It's not a talent issue. It's frank.

Get rid of him before he spoils Devin too.

Rj didn't play hard last night. please. he called out marcus and then came out like that. letting manu take the ball from him. he dropped passes (although he does that all the time) Only leading scorer in that nba that fumbles the ball some much. has horrible hands
