Then why did you edit your first post?
I don't believe this but I could understand that Swift wants to play for a team that really wants him for once. He's already 28 and has never been able to get the confidence from his teammates and coaches in the past. I think he will pick up his option and maybe get traded next year, but that wouldn't be the best scenario for him if he wants to play.
Don't give up hope Stro4... Just the other day the Nets were able to beat the Jazz, one of the better teams in the NBA hands down, without Nenad Krstic and with Stromile getting decent playing time.
According to detractors, Stromile didn't have a good game, but the Nets were still able to beat the Jazz with him getting decent playing time (hmmmmm.....)
Coach Frank also put him out there for defensive purposes on the Jazz' last possession and had success... so hopefully that's a sign of more opportunities to come for Stromile.
I have neither the time nor the energy to be anything but optimistic about it... any games where he's playing like 5 minutes a night I'm just not going to watch, but the Nets defninitely have a chance to make the playoffs and I hope Stromile continues to earn the trust of Coach Frank and his teammates.
The meltdown he had in the Jazz game with the blowup at the ref and the subsequent foot out of bounds on the rebound weren't good but i think it does show that his heart is in it and that he cares.... so there's a chance it could work out.
We'll see!
