I'm not so sure this isn't the right scenario... Let's see what happens in these last few games.

With Boone getting injured today, maybe Stromile gets big minutes to finish the season. They don't have much chance to make the playoffs but as of now they're still alive... but even if they don't make it in, it's a chance to finally get Stromile a bit more involved with the team. I'd love it if Diop could get involved too. I'm in favor of Swift and Diop being the starting frontcourt. Let Krstic bring instant offense off the bench!

Toronto needed the game on saturday. for the first time ever there was somebody to slow down Bosh.

Swift did that for one night.

Boki plays the 4 on this team because he is completly inept on the defensive side of the floor. he cant guard any NBA 3!!!!!!!!!!!!the coach plays him so that the damage will be limited.

Swift had a good game BUT the one played the best defense on Bosh was Trenton Hassel .

Hassel had good moments. Can he do that every night against him no he is to small.

Is a good addition to this team and you will not be able to his true value until after a off-season and training camp.

We have too many bigs at the moment. our balance is poor to say the least. Our best three point shooter is a one way player.

We now know we can score! but we must able to defend. The problem with playing the young bigs they need to learn how to play defense better.

They have to address the balance of defense and shooting should be prioritiy!!!!!!

For what it's worth Hassell can't do that every night. He can do that every night against Chris Bosh though

Two years ago the Nets used a similar strategy and stuck RJ on Bosh, Bosh had been killing the Nets all game long but was a non-factor in the fourth when the Nets came roaring back.

Since Bosh plays like a small forward and primarily uses his quickness to beat slower power forwards instead of fancy / creative moves around the rim like an Antwan Jamison for example, if you put a good defensive small forward on him and take away Bosh's ability to drive to the basket he becomes just another perimeter shooter.

 Yeah, him being bullied around like a nerd with tape holding his glasses together in the post is a great way of doing so. With Boki, it's pick your poison, either a 3 will blow by him or a 4 will push him around.

Nachbar is a fraud

yeah let nachbar walk. keep stromile and sign a FA with the money we'd sign bokie with...if he's good enough throw the MLE on top. Stro's more valuable by default anyway because he's a skilled big man.
