I just don't understand this organization sometimes

Seriously, I don't. I do not know why Thorn continues to defend Opie as a coach. Mike D'antoni is available and he would be the perfect coach for us in my opinion. The guy was a great coach for Phoenix and it's just a shame that management didn't have his back, except for his basketball team which is saying something about the guy's repiore. Shaq and Steve Nash even spoke highly of Mike recently and both have said that Mike doesn't deserve the blame for the Suns struggles.

I was against the John Calipari firing. I thought he did a tremendous job with the Nets. He took a team whose best players were Van Horn and Marbury and took them to the playoffs! Think about that for a second! Sure they got swept by the eventual champions The Bulls, but the Nets reached the playoffs with two players who shouldn't be there teams best players. Van Horn and Marbury??? Come on!

I was against the Byron Scott firing. He took us to the finals TWICE! But Thorn was kinda forced to boot Scott as it was Kidd who was pushing for it to happen. How ironic it was, when Byron Scott was named Coach of the year the same day he eliminated Jason Kidd from the playoffs? Oh how the mighty have fallen.....Oh how sweet it was for Byron...

Opie, Opie Opie. I don't think he's terrible coach, but he's just not fitting with this team. He would make a TERRIFIC Assistant Coach. That's where he belongs. Atleast right now.

I just don't understand why the Nets organization keeps the coaches I don't want, and dismisses the one's I do want. It's frustrating sometimes.
Here's hoping D'antoni atleast gets considered for an assistant coach position with us!

D'antoni isn't that great of a coach . He has a good system and has a nice regular season record but he just isn't able to make ingame adjustments when things don't go his way .

He's NOT the solution.

I disagree, I think he knows how to make adjusments. It's not his fault that the team never aquired better defenders and for trading Marion for Shaq.

But let's agree to disagree...

yeah i was watching the last game, and fell asleep because I was so bored watching Boris Diaw's tired ass post moves. I dunno why that was the gameplan. Nash had like negative assists.

the Net's dont have the same personnel as the suns so I dunno how well he would adjust to our team.

The Nets would benefit from a looser, fast paced style offense but personally I think D'Antoni is one of the most overrated coaches in basketball and his defensive philosphy is garbage.

as much as i love D'Antoni and love to see him on the Nets bench, he isnt the fit, we dont have the same run and gun players, and we dont have a nash as good as harris is and we dont have a Amare Stoudemire.........

No thanks on D'Antoni.

He had a nice team. They should have won game 1. I blame him for that. I blame him for losing this series. the spurs are very good, but the suns had a chance.

So you blame him for Shaq missing 11 frows in game 5?
Or for Shaq missing 4 frows in game 1 that would have won it?
Or do you blame him for Nash's horrible series, icluding an 11point, 3assist, 5 TO game 5 and the 7 point, 9assist game 3?

Or do you blame him because they were eliminated by the Spurs because of a BS rule that got some of their absolute most important players suspended for a critical game?

Or I take it you blame him for the Suns being to cheap to hold on to their draft picks such as Loul Deng and trade away players such as Joe Johnson for draft picks they also trade away?!

He is personally not one of my favorite coaches in the league, but I feel like people come down on him for the simple reason he hasn't won a title.
Jerry Sloan never won one.

I am blaming him because he didnt get IT done. What ever you want to call "IT". If passing the Spurs was measuring stick. Or getting out the first round. Like avery, karl, frank, and any other coach that is or should get fired, they had their opportunity with fairly good teams. Now it is time for change. For the Nets change, I dont want D'antoni because I think he was handed a good team like FRANK and didnt measure up. I would rather take an assistant or a new face then D'antoi. For some reason, I dont like his style.
