Who is this Julius Hodge?

That's pretty much it. don't have much to write the body of this topic.
I guess just post anything you know about him, what he can bring to the team, what he can't, strengths, weakness, you know...

Went to NC State. Basically single handedly carried his team to the Elite 8 his last year there. Had a solid college career. Drafted by the Nuggets (his interview after he was drafted was priceless), got shot 4 times in Denver one night. Never could break into the Nuggets roster even though he has solid talent. Traded to the Bucks, bought out by the bucks. Went to Europe and ripped **** up the one season he was there.

He's got the talent. He's kinda a tweener because he has solid post moves but is skinny. Has a consistant jumber from 15' and in. Not the greatest of ball handlers but has the ability to get to the basket. He works hard on offense but isn't the best defender by NBA standards. Kiki loved him (took him earlier than expected in the draft). He's just a very athletic kid that in the right system could be a solid role player. If he made our roster, I'd be happy to have him.

Regardless, right now we only have a few roster spots that I'm sure Thorn is looking to add vet help in. Only way Hodge makes the team is if we trade 3-4 guys for 1-2 guys which opens up a position for Hodge.

Pretty good assessment. Hodge is a do-it-all offensive player who likes the ball in his hands. This is the problem in an NBA setting because he is a bit loose with the ball. Nonetheless, if his abilities were harnessed to their full potential and his handle somehow picked up, he could be a 6th man imo. However, teams have been reluctant to play into Hodge's game. He is a thin 6'6 point guard or ball dominator who plays defense and gobbles smaller guys up with his superior length. He has GREAT court vision and an inconsistent shot, but possesses a variety of moves getting to the hoop. I think the injury really slowed him down, but I would not be surprised if he cracked a rotation and really proved himself on some team. This guy is talented and with an improved jumper and a tighter handle, he could really live up to the billing.
