Oklahoma City/ Brooklyn

Post#1 » by Soriano12 » Thu Jul 3, 2008 2:30 am

With the Sonics officially moving to Oklahoma City, how do you Net fans feel about this situation from a fan standpoint knowing a move is also in your future? Is the Brooklyn move official or will they go to trial like Seattle? Also, will you remain a fan of the team when the move is complete? Serious answers pleace. Thank You.

I'll still be a fan of the Nets, and Brooklyn isn't that much farther from the IZOD Center... Okay well it is a tad bit farther for me, but I'm looking forward to a new arena where there is actually stuff to do pre and post game...

And to answer your other question, critics have been trying to slow down the construction of the Nets new arena (well they're really aiming to stop Ratner's apartment / housing complexes) but have been turned back time and time agian, and on a couple of occasions denied appeals by the Supreme Court...

Well there's a big difference when you move just some miles or across the whole country ...

I have no problem with the move to Brooklyn. I would have prefered they stayed here in Jersey. With the small number of games I attend per season its not going to be a finiancial strain for the few extra bucks it may cost when we make the move.

As long as they keep the name the Nets I'm behind them 100 percent. If they change the name I'm gone. IMO the name the "Nets" was always the best name of any NBA team out there, think about it. Althought I do like the "super sonics' also OP. I read somewhere were considering renaming the Nets the "Nights" thats just wrong. It sounds like a 50's era do-wop band.

Seeing that Ratner is running this team into the ground, Brooklyn can have them if this keeps us
