What if CDR breaks into the starting lineup.

Do you think we could creep into the 7-8 seed range for the playoffs if CDR has a good season and puts up decent numbers? While I still don't think so, if everything question mark turns into a positive this season, I think we could have a good year.

I don't know about breaking the starting lineup . Allmost every rookie has problems in his first season even the elite of the elite had some .

Eh I'm gonna say no. We have a lot of young guys who are unproven. Even Harris is still technically a question mark in my eyes. If we want to make the playoffs, Vince has to regain his old form, Harris has to be at least a top 5 PG in the east and we'll need 2 of the young guys who will be starting to have some kind of consitancy and 2 other guys consistant off the bench. I think we're a top 5 pick as of right now personally. But this really doesn't matter because we're still not done making moves. This question would be better to ask us in September or something.

If CDR makes the starting lineup, it's because we are dead last and playing all our rookies.

If CDR earns a starting spot I'd be pretty impressed. I would not put any hopes on a 2nd round pick putting us on his back and bringing us to the playoffs. Lets see if he can make it over the rookie wall first.

If he does get a starting spot, it won't be at the beginning of the season. He could get the gig by the all-star break if we suck. I expect us to bring in 1-2 guys that will start over him though.

Lets not forget who our coach is. This guy puts down young talent likes its his business. As crazy as it sounds right now since we jsut drafted him and people are high on him after a good junior campain at Memphis, don't expect CDR to even get off the bench this season. At best you'll see garbage time minutes like Hassam Adams had when he was here or MAYBE the 9.5 mpg that Wright averaged in his rookie season. I know those aren't the two best examples of talent but people were fairly high on Wright out of Texas A&M as well.

Also remember Toine was playing behind Vince and RJ. We have NOBODY at the 3 right now and we're weak at the 2 coming off the bench. Granted I know we'll make some moves to fix that, but it's hard to compare that because we were in our bs "Win Now" mode as opposed to the youth movement we're clearly going in now. I think by the end of the season, unless we get a solid starting 3, he'll be seeing 15-20 mpg between playing the 2 and 3.

Both Vince and RJ were starting though so i'm not too sure about that. I think Ryan Anderson will get some major burn at the 3 even though he's big enough for the 4.. same with Yi. Simmons will be the main guy there though.
