It seems that Sean May and Marco Bellinelli could be had at the right price from the Warriors and Bobcats.
Sean May enjoyed a very solid rookie campaign where he averaged over 10PPG and around 6RPG. He could be a very effective 4 in this league or at the least, a solid backup PF. He is young and could be a nice piece to the rebuilding of the New Jersey Nets.
Marco Bellinelli continues to dominate the Summer League. He is a fantastic shooter and seems to have the tools to be an effective scorer. He too could be much more effective if a team gave him a chance.
The Nets have some solid young pieces but could use both of these players to help finish out their roster for 2008. The Bobcats would take Eduardo Najara for Sean May. I know the Nets just signed him, but they could wait until the end of August and deal him to Charlotte. Najara is a nice hustle piece that would be good in a LB system. He can't really help the Nets in terms of the future potential of the team. Sean May would have much more upside and has a much better chance of helping the team in the long run.
Marco may be more difficult to acquire. The Warriors may be inclined to take on a center such as Sean Williams or Josh Boone. That is too much from NJ. Perhaps the Nets can get a future pick from the Warriors and Belleneli in such a swap.

Re: Sean May and Marco Bellinelli?
Sean May = NO
I want Marco. My feelings there is that if we could have got him, we would have gotten him in some sort of package in the Marcus Williams deal. It's possible we could still land him but I don't think so. I still want him though.
I was reading an article today saying the Nets would like to still acquire a 3rd string pg and another shooting guard. I'm fine with Belinelli being that shooting guard. I honestly think Jaycee could use a year or 2 in the D-League or Europe which is why I'm not totally set on him. I would rather go after Travis Deiner or someone like him whose had a year or two under their belt.

W's will trade you Belinelli for a 2011 conditional 1st rounder..(2011=15-30...2012=11-30...2013=10-30 or 2 2nd rounders)

GS will get rid of Jackson before they would trade Belineli. They might just trade Jax if Andris signs with a Euro team. They'll need to fill that hole. GS is going to go young. They will get rid of Jax and Al. GS right now is a non play-off team in the west. They would be lucky if they are a .500 team next year. B Davis was the guy they kept this team over .500. I can't see them moving any young players. I think it will be Jax and Al who will be on the move.

Re: Sean May and Marco Bellinelli?
I'd LOVE to have Bellinelli off the bench. A great shooter, at least in summer league haven't seen him on thee Warriors.
How's this sound
Sean Williams, Stromile Swift, Keith Van Horn's contract and Maurice Ager for
Andris Biedrins and Marco Bellinelli

^^^^ Haha if that happened and we still had the cap room for Lebron, I'd start building a church in Thorn's honor. Too bad it's sarcasm

May is crap, the only thing he has is age.
I'd love to get Marco, but it's highly unlikely GS would package him, like Prelude said we should've tried to involve him in the Marcus trade. Oh well
