For those who can't find much good about the Net front office lately... You can give them a gold star for the Marcus Williams trade. He's absolutely sucking in Warriorsland so far. Getting a mid-first rounder for him was a great deal for the Nets.

When you get shot and almost die in your rookie season, I'll say that may set you back a while. He flat out destroyed Europe, Australia and the D-League when he played in those leagues. And he claims he wasn't even in the best shape there. Trust me, I agree with you 100% he's getting way too much attention in the press in terms of trying to make a team who has 15 guaranteed contracts, but he is solid. He'll never be a star in this league but is can be a very productive role player. I'm telling you, if he made a team like the Spurs, he's be nuts. I'd love to see him in a Nets uni but unless we buy out Ager in the next 2 weeks I can't see it happening unfortunately. I personally don't think we'll take guaranteed players on our roster to Europe with us if we plan on cutting them before the season starts.

I think we're talking about potential....as prelude stated this has a lot to do with this situation/near death...and if you could look back at his college year as an example, again as stated by prelude, he basically carried that NC state team, they went as far as he took them...and that character is something you'll take anyday, even in a suit...that type of mentality never goes away, his basketball just has to catch up...

I definitely agree...thanks for saying so...he's capable, but still has a lot to prove...we just went in a different direction which I completely agreed with...
