I think 2k9 will still be better this year but Live will catch up a little this year.

We should do 5v5 vs another team on the board. I wouldnt mind playing if I'm Vince, Devin, or CDR.

i just played a ranked 5v5 game(ranked game set up 2 random teams) and i was assigned Chauncey Billups(they auto assign you to a man also) and damn was that game good. My team was down by at least 10 or 12 and late in the 4th i tied the game with a 3 but too many careless plays later cause us the game. One dude on our team left earlier in the game so the Cpu was Rip Hamilton and he missed 2 crucial 3s(he was wide open)All in all though i wasnt even pissed the fact that this game mode is the sickest thing to be put in a sports game. Also lol at Live getting bad reviews(6.5 at ign)

I was also wondering what to get. Last year I tried 2K. I really enjoyed it. Live has disappointed me for the past few years. After reading this I think I am going to pick up 2K.

I am in for the 5 vs 5 once I get a hang of the game. I dont mind playing a big. No PG, SG or SF for me unless I play Yi or Anderson at the 3.

The last time I played a basketball game was probably NBA Live 2005 for the PS2. Time constraints stopped me from playing yet I still play Brawl and Kart once in a while. I never had a problem with the Live series, but I hear it's fallen off severely going to next generation (now current) consoles.

I caught a commercial of NBA 2K9 showing KG and his friends. KG couldn't dunk, defend, or run after he had a bad game in real time. If NBA 2K9 modifies its stats that much, I wouldn't update my rosters that frequently. I've seen some bugs for the Live series the last few years and I believe some bugs have been reported for this year's 2K.

Nevertheless whether it's poor marketing or actual roster updating, KG shouldn't ever miss a dunk on the fast break.

Some NBA 2K9 bugs I found on youtube...

^ A little bit of searching and you can find tons of bugs in both games ^

What really has me annoyed about 2k9 right now though is the sim engine, in my association / NETS franchise 28 out of 30 teams are averaging over 100 ppg, about 7-8 of them are averaging 110 ppg+

I simmed through a few other franchises and got the same results...

I'm sure I can. Live was known for bugs the last couple of years. I'm just stating 2K isn't so high and mighty on the basketball gaming genre as some people have it out to be.
