why doesn't the NBA just release the ballod later on into the season? They should trim the ballot down. seriously wtf is Yi's name even doing on the ballot? why is someone like Shane Battier even on the ballot? no offense to either of those two guys.

if Sun Yue's name were realeased on the ballot too, you'd see him in the all-star game over kobe or paul or tmac.......sad

stern should just let the ballot be released later on in the season, and only include names of people who matter

It is a F-ing joke if Yi makes the ASG.

If he makes it, bet your ass one of Devin or VC won't if either of them.

I agree, him making the ASG is literally disrespecting the game of basketball, even if the NBA has been a joke lately anyway, it is just compounding it.

On top of all this, imagine the undue pressure and unfair guilt this is gonna put on Yi?!
As Nets fans we should be extremely anti-Yi in the ASG.
His confidnece and psychie is fragile enough as is, the last thing he needs is have the media scrutiny of the entire basketball watching world raining down upon him with criticism, hate and disgust.
And the messed up part is it is entirely not his fault, yet so many fans and media outlets are gonna spin it like he was running a campaign to make the All Star Game.

I am sorry, I know there are always All Star snubs and some players make it ahead of a more deserving player because someone that was borderline that year just to make the team based off skills made it as a starter because of voting, but when has a player made it averaging around 10 and 6?!!!!!!

Complete mockery of the game. Not the ASG, but the game of basketball.

It's Stern's fault, why are half these guys even on the ballot?!!

I don't even hold much in the way of serious thought in the ASG, and truthfully it's not even usually that entertaining. It's usually the 3 point shootout, the slam dunk contest and the Rookie Sophomore Game that I watch.

I am just saying, it is ridiculous and I think my points on the impact it will have on Yi personally are legit.

Again, I don't condone this. There are many better players in the NBA that deserve an all-star nod. Hell, there are better NETS that deserve the all-star nod over Yi.

Yi Jianlian catching up to KG in ALL-STAR Voting!!!

Post#24 » by KRCA » Sat Jan 3, 2009 1:10 am

This is kinda funny lol

I would much rather see Yi at the all-star game starting line-up instead of Garnett. I use to have much respect for Garnett and he was my favourite player but now I cant stand him. He has no class at all...taunting, harassing and pushing smaller players than him.... and somehow they are all white players too.

Send Yi to the all-star game.

Why are people complaining about Yi getting into the all star game. I'm not chinese or a nets fan, but I've seen fans vote in Tracy McGrady and Allen Iverson in the west over Steve Nash when he was winning MVPs left and right and no one complained. Its only a problem when its the American getting snubbed but its ok if it happens to anybody else, i see how it is.
