Lopez got somewhat phased out of the game since Yi was playing well early, and then the team was trying to come from behind with Carter in the lead.

O boy the injury bug is starting to haunt our campaign (Boone before, Devin and Yi now) and we're one injury to Vince away from a sure lottery pick.

By the way, we have lost 3 straight on the road. Time to play better at Izod.

Another thing.

How many points does an opposing team SG/SF have to score on VC or Simmons in a quarter before frank SAYS maybe I should put in Hayes or Hassel to guard the guy. SO I guess frank DOESNT make a sub in the 1st Quarter even though ONE PLAYER IS BEATING US and the STARTERS CANT GUARD HIM.

One more thing
I guess Najera starts now. Anderson should get some playing time. So what is FRANK going to say. He can play now since someone is injured but before he guy couldnt get ANY burn. CDR is going to get screwed here. FRANK is going to call HASSEL's number regardless of the bull FRANK says about Offense / Defense.

What a F'N IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With Yi(since he was playing so well) out and Harris still day to day Carter has to average 28,7,7 and Brook Average atleast 15 and 8+ for us to have chance..BTW,as much as I like Harris we are a much better team when we run through Carter,Harris should get his touches but Carter is the better creator on the floor,he would make Harris an even better player on the floor. And though Carter took good shots and didn't force anything,he has to take at least 20 shots for a while now.

I hate Luke Ridnour... But like someone above said when you're playing in these close games it's only a matter of time until someone hits a game winner against you... Even after Simmons slipped though I have no idea why Ridnour was so freaking open.

I just hope he could get his minutes. Outside of the former Big 3, Frank usually buries a guy way deep in the dark corridors of the bench from an injury. Boone, Sean, Hassan Adams, it took Najera a while to sniff minutes, Nachbar, Marcus, Swift...all have been victim to being thrown to other end of the bench while on injury.

Toronto traded him for TJ Ford. Villanueva is a talented scorer but a selfish player who does not play defense. Hammond has been shopping him around since the summer with no taker despite how inexpensive his contract is.

I wouldn't mind him over some of our 3s and his height allows him to play multiple positions. He's been instant offense off the bench for a while now.

I have to say one thing. Vince Carter has always been my favorite player and I'm glad to see him still playing so well. :D

- Forget about utilizing the pick-and-roll, we still can't defend it. The entire game along with the final Ridnour shot, we don't when to switch off, stay, or even pick up when someone gets beat. It's always good to come back when we're down by double digits, but let's face it, if we didn't hit our threes, this would've had a good chance of being discouraging.

- Is Anderson still on the team? I mean, Najera did well dishing the ball, Simmons shot the 3-ball well, but he should be getting Hassell's minutes.

- We used Brook horribly in this game.

- We needed Harris and Yi in there for the 4th.

- Hope Yi is fine.

- Why did TOR let Villanueva go again?

great post Rich...this game is easily a W w. Harris...Frank is sticking with guys who he can count on...I guess you can say Ryan fell out of favor w/ some poor shooting...but what I DONT GET is who the hell gave Narjera the green light from 3pt range...1-15 this yr. ...he had a nice game vs. Memphis and he did have 7asts last night...but he needs to stick with shots close to the basket and inside 15ft...

so Yi goes down and you know he isnt coming back... why not utilize the post more and dump the ball down into Lopez in the paint consistently through the 4th...all they're talking about is how he's been practicing dunking the ball near the basket and we obvioulsy saw that vs. Memphis...its like Frank has a mental block...we've had this conversation before, but how blatant is it with his previous game's performance...

give some credit to Simmons for his 3pt shot and Vince making that pass...but man what a horrible point in the game to slip...blame it on the floor or whatever...he's been playing his best ball of the season and then more or less shoots his game down w. losing Luke for the game winner...tough cover, but man, he's unlucky...

(and Villa is a beast...when healthy...a great inside outside game for a player of that size...)

That's tough. He finally put a string of good games and it'll be hard to work his way back into Frank's rotation again.

yeh really sux...we'll see how fast that finger can heal...and if he can start playing w. it taped in a couple of weeks...

despite some defense lapses...the guy does so much on the floor on both sides to keep us in the game...he's having a great season...you can pick apart his defense on some sets...but he comes back and covers his guy aggressively on the next set...

“I’ve been guarding him since I was a rookie, then every day in practice for a few years,” Jefferson said. “He had one of the easiest 23-14-9 games you’ll ever see."

through 37 games we have only been able to string together 3 wins in row once...road trip Sac./Utah/Pho...we need to hit hot streak...and obvioulsy injuries has hinder us to do so...we need to get over that hump...curious to see where we go w/ Yi out of the lineup...

Sorry Samuel I dont care about VC at this point. What ever he does he does.

I WANT ANDERSON, CDR and LOPEZ to get more PT and more touches.

As far as VC and Harris creator or non-creator, IF we had a REAL COACH, HE would MAKE SURE HARRIS works on this PG DUTIES. HARRIS CAN PASS THE BALL. THE GAME where VC got ejected. HARRIS PASSED THE BALL TO LOPEZ IN THE POST.

This idea that VC is a great passer doesnt HELP our FUTURE. FRANK needs to make HARRIS understand that he is the PG. FRANK needs to WAKE THE **** UP. This team got eliminated TWICE in the FINALS because WE DIDNT HAVE A HALF COURT GAME. We got beat by DUNCAN and SHAQ. Now we have a CENTER that can SCORE in the post.

gritty game by the Nets, too bad they were a slip away from OT & possible victory. The slip left Ridnour so open that on such a broken play it's hard to have the defensive recover on that. I think Vince was thinking of stepping up to challenge the shot but he was hesitant to leave RJ open under the basket and really I don't he would have gotten there in time anyways.

Amazing game by Vince. He was setting up guys with his paint penetration & putting the ball right in their breadbasket for easy shot mechanics & when the Nets needed points in the 4th he made some tough shots. Only complain was his soft defense over screen which has been happening more & more lately. He's been pretty solid in stopping penetration but screens & such still struggling but can't fault him too much when he has do facilitate so much on offense with Devin out.

I've turned the leaf on Dooling but damn forcing that drive that led to a turnover with the Nets down 3 at the end of the game was just brutal.

Not sure about the Lopez thing. He had Charlie V on him alot & it didn't translate to plays/buckets.

Nets out Devin but Bucks were out Bogut so fair win heh. I'm surprised Nets made a game of it - the way they started the game I thought they were gonna get killed. Hopefully they start the next game with more urgency.

There were a few crucial defensive breakdowns that led to easy paint buckets for the Bucks that really hurt. Hayes is a far better shooter than I expected him to be.

I'd like to see Swift take the starting PF spot but maybe Frank goes Najera (what happened to the dude's 3 pt shooting, stayed in Denver...).

SIC, as much as you make valid points about our future and how we can move in that direction...you have to understand there is going to be balance of playing to win now and brining along the young guys...I agree with you, certain guys should be getting more time and touches, ect...but you have to give into our strategy now...as much as you would like to see us just playing ball for the future, the coaching staff will put together offense sets for our go to guys and to play accordingly from there...I definitely think someone needs to remind our leaders on the floor to dump the ball into the Lopez more...and the fact that we should be trying to improve our half court game now...

but it seems like your asking for all or none...at the very most, the coaching staff needs to mix up the offense more or incorporate Lopez into our offense to bring along our half court game...
