Lebron making fun of the Knicks

The LeBron James-to-the-Knicks in 2010 plan hit a speed bump. In the latest issue of GQ magazine, James takes a subtle shot at the Knicks during a pickup game against five GQ staff members. "They don't play no defense," James is quoted as saying. "They don't play no defense. New York Knicks."..

This is from the Daily News.

Will D'Antoni really be a factor? Is this a smoke screen? Is James going to ask TO SHOW ME THE MONEY?

I think he's going where the money is.. he's a business man. With that being said the Cavs will be able to offer the most and i'm sure they'll do anything in reach to keep him there. In my heart of hearts I believe all money and any other factors aside his mind is in Cleveland.

if Lebron follows the money like you think he will you will not see him in the NBA next year. damn euros......

no suprise here

on a sidenote: id like to thank the mods for running a tight ship, however i was wondering if we can have a offical off-topic thread here on the nets board and it can be sticked, because it is nice to sometimes talk about non-nets related things among fellow nets fans, just a suggestion though...

LBJ seeing the knicks suck and since LBJ is a frontrunner he is dissing the team.

The big deal is that LBJ wants to win a title.

A team must play some defense to win a title.

Mike Dan Tony's teams do not play defense.

D'Antoni won many games in Phx, but never a title because defense is necessary in the playoffs.

LBJ wants a title - badly. More than money probably since he already has all the money that he can spend in one life.

Hey. Knicks' fan here. I have no problem with what he said since (1) it's true for most of this season; and (2) it'll hopefully become poster board material and serve as motivation for the team to play better D. That said, the Knicks have been playing better defense lately - and played very good D in the team's win against the Suns last night. Jeffries, QRich, Harrington, and Chandler are all very capable defenders. But we lack shot blocking. Which is what brings me to your board. Any interest in trading us Sean Williams?

What'd you want to give for SWAT?

BTW, D'Antoni was and is criticized for his lack of defense within his game plan, but, not for nothing, he had some horrific defensive players for basically his enitre tenure in Phoenix and doesn't have many good ones on this Knix team either.
It would be interesting to see what he would do with players that give it their all on both sides of the floor.
