Hey guy's could you please explain the waiver system (theory?) to me.

We traded twin for Stro. Only to waive Stro about year later. Why not just waive twin back then?

I guess my answer will come when you guy's explain waivers to me

Cheers

P.S We do not need a SG trapped in a PG's body. Could some one please compile a list of the talent available this late in the season.

we eat his contract for the rest of season, free up a roster spot which enables us to sign another player=PG and Stro to sign wherever he wants for the remainder...

the Nets felt he didnt fit into their system, so instead of paying someone to do nothing for the remainder of the season, you waive him so you can hopefully pick up a player that fits your needs...

We traded for Stro basically as a last ditch effort to make Jason Kidd happy. He's complained numerous times since losing Kmart about not having an athletic big man to run with and bring some energy with. Stro was the best player we could get at the time which met Kidd's demands. Honestly, Stro isn't a bad player, I just didn't really see the point because I KNEW Opie wouldn't give him the time of day and, as much as some people may disagree, didn't think he fit our system totally. I wish he got more time when Yi went down, but regardless, his time here is done and I wish Stro the best.

i like head but

this means CDR will die. die on the bench die in the rotation he'll get NOTHING, cause even though simmons is playin the 4, and hayes the 3, the only way cdr would get mins with head is by moving trenton hassel to the end of the bench.

JJ and Prelude, I thank you.

Now is anyone working on that list?

Does anyone have thoughts on who we should sign?

Jaycee Carroll or a if someone buys out a PG. I really don't want Luther Head. He's not much of an upgrade from Ager in my opinion.

I'd honestly rather get a guy who can create shots for others and has the ability to knock down a jumper when needed. Besides Hassell, most of our guys have decent mid range games, we just need another PG who can get them the ball. As much as I like Keyon, he doesn't really do that. Go get Jaycee Carroll and call it a day.

I agree with you on getting a better pure PG, but I think dooling does a good job distributing and leading at PG then you think.

As for head, like prelude said, If he cant help at PG, I say bring in someone else. If we cant find a PG type, then I am for it.

The saddest thing about the Swift move is

Stro wont be posting on this board anymore. Bye Stro, I mean Rag time.

I am going to miss Ragging on Rag-Time. Good Luck Stro, I mean Bro.

Suns fan here,

Stro is a welcomed addition to the Suns franchise. Both Matt Barnes and Leandro Barbosa lost their mothers recently, and you could tell it truly affected their performance on the court. We hope all three can feed off one another's energy and share their hardships to lessen the recovery process. We are already seeing Barnes and Barbosa improve by leaps and bounds in the last few weeks as they have become closer friends and shared their thoughts.

With Amare down, Stro should get some legitimate playing time and is definitely the most SevenSecondsOrLess-friendly free agent out there. If anyone wants to give us an unbiased scouting report on his performance in the last 2 seasons or so it would be much appreciated. We know he is a high flying big that can play multiple positions, but I havent seen him do anything of note in the last few years, and many of us are apprehensive about what he has left in the tank.

Thanks

P.S. we've already gotten our taste of rag time on the phx boards :)

P.P.S. Can you buy out Harris while youre at it? We need a backup PG.

P.P.P.S. Our bench is still lacking in the frontcourt. Would you guys mind swapping your Lopez with ours?

Oh good. Now you guys know what you're getting and there's no transition period.

We kind of need our star PG.

Why would you want to do that? You have the better Lopez.

Anytime man. Someone had to have your back. You've been right before, no sense of thinking otherwise this time. Props for getting this like 48 hours before any report even caught wind too.

Word is Stro to the Suns and Head to the Heat. Might be a moot point now although it isn't quite official.

Stromile was in uniform for today's game but didn't get to play. A step up from the Nets organization though, where he was in a suit for a week or two before getting a chance to play last season. Hopefully they play him in the next game. If he doesn't play within the next 2 games i'm gonna cancel the league pass i just signed up for.

I signed up for the league pass in hopes of being able to see Stromile play again. I haven't had it all season since the nets weren't playing him.

However, alvin Gentry killed Harold Miner's career, he may do the same to Stromile Swift.

Suns only had 12 guys on their roster. They legally have to carry 13. Would it make any sense not to dress Stro? I hope he gets playing time too. I'm just saying it'd be absolutely (Please Use More Appropriate Word) if Stro was in a suit. Nets had 15, we were committed to our young guys so can you really blame us for making Stro wear a suit. It's was a different situation in Jersey.
