Guys, I wasn't able to watch the game but I was wondering why Hayes received the ball instead of Vince. VC was playing well and yet we put our fate at the hands of another Net. Isn't this ridiculous? I don't think VC would miss those 2 fts in the end.

Oh man that really sucks for you guys.
Especially seeing as Steve Novak caught the ball with his foot out of bounds, that shot should never have counted, nets win.

It wasn't really intentional. He just seemed like the only one who could get open, IIRC. Simmons almost initially didn't get it in. It was looking like a five second violation, but he just got it in. It then went out of bounds, but fortunately was off a Clippers player.

Actually, I remember now that that's when I had the horrible feeling. We didn't have any timeouts left, so it's not like he could even call timeout because he couldn't get it in.

Really, I think this team might be too much of a mess to try this stuff with. I get what Frank was thinking, because what are the odds of the Clippers making both their free throws, AND us choking on ours, AND us not getting the rebound, AND(!!!) then us leaving a dangerously hot shooter (where the f did he come from?) wiiiiide open? Unfortunately, the odds are pretty good with this team. With most other teams, it'd make sense.

I actually kept thinking about Doc Rivers. I think if he'd done this, most people would be focusing on the choking free-thrower, and how the C's totally fell apart. Doc would get blame, but I think he and most people would not have expected the team to perform this way.

Anyway, I do feel bad for Hayes, though. He looked so upset and embarrassed with himself during the timeout that the Clippers called.

lol, the Clippers announcers were saying that the fact that Dunleavy called upon Boone to shoot Devin's free throw, reminded Frank that Boone existed. They were like "this is how he has to get playing time".

As for the poster who asked about Camby, it really didn't look like a dirty play at all to me. I'm usually really sensitive to that, but it just wasn't that way at all. Camby was clearly going for ball, and it wasn't a nasty/out of control hit. He got Dev's arm, but it was up near the ball, and it's not like he was pulling on the arm. IIRC, he just hit it. I think Devin more just fell from having the worst possible body position ever, without having good positioning to brace for the fall.

Oh, by the way, the Clipper announcer mentioned that he talked to Rod Thorn, and he said that all the team needs are a good small forward, and a good back-up to Lopez, then they'll be set.

Rod was extremely high on Brook and Dev, and said we have our future set with them.

I've been watching replays. I'm not a big fan of anyone going hard for the block at someone who's driving in, but it looked like Camby was going for the ball. Could they have called a Flagrant 1? Sure, but not a F2. I should be more angry that he did take out our best player the last few weeks. I also should be mad that there is a strong possibility Novak stepped out of bounds. I don't know...this team makes me insane.

This is the perfect time to force feed the ball to Brook in the post and let him develope with no pressure. If him and Vince lead us to the playoffs, great, if not, eh, what are you gonna do.
I got the disapointment out of my system after that horrific loss to GS, so I'm not expecting much for this year. It really sucks Devin got hurt, but you got to grin and bare it and use this to build on other things.

I totally agree here.

Lopez and Yi should get the ball every possession from now on. I also want SWILL, CDR, and Anderson to get more PT. Hassel should play some just so we can try to get rid of him. Simmons should get less time.

At this point I dont care about wins or playoffs.

I just don't no how you leave Baron F'n Davis and Novak wide open on the 3pt line. And Brook is the only one who attempts to come out.Did anybody see Hayes standing around covering nobody on the last play. Why was hassel covering Kaman.WTF I feel you S.I.C. on that last line. Thanks Camby for ending any hope i had for this team making the playoffs.RT better tell Frank to play the rooks the rest of the way out

When Baron Davis hugged Novak and he was crying of happiness it reminded me of the end of that movie Jerry Maguire.

Did the Nets give the Clippers their swagger back?

Just curious, what did Marv and Fratello have to say about Frank's decision? Both before the outcome and after.

I would have left Baron wide open. He's not a good shooter, dude is as overrated as they come. Real talk.
