I'd do it, but I'm not sure NO would. Trading David West would really alienate Chris Paul IMHO... That team is basically Paul + West.

the writing is on the wall for NO...CP3 has to already be alienated considering they basically traded chandler just for expirings..I think there is a chance No tries to trade west, peja and chandler this summer and start over on the cheap....

Again, I'd do that trade any day of the week, but NOH will not.
I think they will be shopping West, but youare going to have to absorb one of their bad contracts with West and give at least partial instant cap savings and your trade has them taking back 4 to 5 mill more next year when they are already over the tax.
West maybe traded, but if it is for exprirings he will not be shipped out solo.

If New Orleans really wanted to unload West and a bad contract I'm thinking Memphis would be the place to look. They're going to have a ton of capspace and are in the market for a power forward.
