I threw Brand into the mix as a scenario. Anybody else got other players in mind? I'm not trying to do any homer trades so my bad if it looked that way.
Cheers
I don't like trading a lotto pick for a who knows pick that would be lotto protected.
Your trade though, I wouldn't mind if Thorn and Kiki did it and truthfully they can keep Willie Green, but at the same time it ties up so much salary in an older, recently and often injured player that I wouldn't be thrilled either.
I honestly don't know who I would like Rod and Kiki to go after. Of the guys that are "available", few make sense. Amar'e if available, personally I want no part in him and even if he came here, i have a feeling he wouldn't sign a contract extension. Boozer I like, but he is injured all the time too, then again he is still pretty young, but on that same note he would probably be looking for the max and he is not worth that, especially if he is looking for more then 4 years, which I am sure he would be.
West I like a lot, especially because he would probably be an excellent fit with our team, the only problem with him is I doubt NOH will move him without Chandler or Peja. They are both SEVERELY overpaid, so they cancel out te fairness/borderline bargain West's contract is.
Bosh is likely to jump ship just like Amar'e.
Troy Murphy? No F-ing thanks!
Jamison? No thanks to that contract.
All of this is a moot point with Lawrence Stank as our coach anyway. I would have loved to see what he would have done in Dallas this year. Probably got the 8th seed or even been out of the playoffs and a 1st round knockout would have been inevitable.
