TRADE NJ/LA
TRADE ID # 5072461
NETS Incoming: Marcus Camby,Al Thornton,Mardy Collins
NETS lineup:
Devin Harris/Dooling/Collins
CDR/Hayes
Al Thornton/Simmons
Camby/Yi/Sean
Brook/Camby
CLIPPERS Incoming: Vince Carter,Ryan Anderson,1st rnd pick this year.
CLIPPERS Lineup:Not sure who there going to re-sign
Baron Davis
Gordon/VC
VC/Novak if re-signed
Zack Randolph/Anderson
Chris Kaman
2 first rnd picks
I think it works out good for both teams.NJ gets a veteran big, a young 3 and a 3rd pg.LAC is not gonna re-sign half there team so they'll have 2 first rnd picks this year, our 1st rnd pick from last year in Anderson and a veteran swing man VC.

Holy good god no. Camby/Thornton/Collins is nowhere near worth Vince/Anderson AND 2 first round picks. I don't care about 2010 free agency, this isn't a deal we should ever make.

I like the trade that you posted up. However, what happen Najera and Boone...in my opinion, I dont really want them on the nets. Maybe putting them into the deal or something, idk.
I like Marcus Camby, even though he is the one who injured Devin Harris.

Really? What if we take out the GSW picks and just give up our pick this year.LAC will have 2 first rnd picks in the draft.I like Al thornton i think he's gonna develop into a really good player.LAC is not gonna give him up without our 1st rnder.Devin,Al thornton and Brook is something to build around for the future.

Re: TRADE NJ/LA
This is a bad trade for the Nets. You are badly overrating Thornton here. He's a high-volume shooter who is a mediocre (at best) passer and defender at forward. He's also going to be 26 in December, so I think he's a lot closer to his peak than you think. Anderson, pick #11 and the GSW pick is a massive overpay for Thornton.

Re: TRADE NJ/LA
Are you nuts? Camby/Thorton/Collins is fair value for Vince, with maybe us sending back the GS pick because of the salary they take on. It is actual insanity to even think we would have to throw in Anderson and our pick. This is the type of ougoing that gets you Amare or a bad contract and a stud young guy still on their rookie contract. A bag of burning dog crap put out by stomping on it with bare feet bad for New Jersy.
Thorton is hot trash anyway.

Yea i would rather get rid of Najera and Boone. But there not gonna want oldass Najera and his contract or Boone's bumbass.Nobody knows what Anderson is gonna be so its a gamble and there's still hope he can turn out good.(i don't think so but maybe).

Take out the GSW picks.26 is young and great age to get a player,he's 2 years from his prime and that should last until he's 31 at least. He's got a lot of good basketball years in him if he don't get injured.I don't care for Anderson or this years pick so this was easy for me.We're getting Thornton for VC.

Take out the GSW picks.
VC,Anderson and this years 1st is fair value for Camby,Al Thornton and collins.VC IS ON HIS WAY OUT!Get over it already.Nobody is gonna give up there young players for a 32 year old with a huge contract straight up.I don't think Anderson is gonna be good anyway so we should trade him while we can.AND we have two 1st rnd picks next year.
Al Thornton is no where near trash your crazy. This trade is VC for Al Thornton.

If that is the case, how can you possibly justify trading a lottery pick + for a 35-year-old Marcus Camby?

I dislike Thorton and his shoot first, shoot 2nd and pass no wait..shoot 3rd mentality.

looks like a sideways move to me. Where we rely on to many ifs i.e players health, chemistry and coaching. I'll pass.

Re: TRADE NJ/LA
The trade is trash.
Al Thorton is hot trash.
He is a horrid player.
Straight up chucker and volume scorer at that, has no potential to get better, low BBIQ, plays crap defense.
How is this VC for Thorton?
It's VC for Camby and the 11th overall pick, a future pick and Ryan Anderson for Al Thorton, which is beyond terrible.
This is an insulting offer.
The 11th pick, a future likely 1st rounder, very likely late lotto and a very nice prospect(power forward no less) is a good enough package to aquire a big time player, Thorton is not a big time player, he is garbage.
Do you watch him play much? If you do, my opinion of your opinion is even worse.
I think you are equating ppg #'s on a horrible team with skills.
Rod and Kiki would have to be smoking dust to accept this trade.

Re: TRADE NJ/LA
This trade does suck.
No Eric Gordon. No trade. No LA Pick. No Trade.
Not trading VC unless it is for a good young player, draft picks and expiring.

Re: TRADE NJ/LA
I just wouldn't give up Vince for ANYONE in that trade. Simmons/Najera/Boone/GSW's pick is the best thing you'd ever get out of me for the entire package. Thornton gonna put up decent stats probably through his career, but I bet you he'll never be on a good team. He sucks in the grand scheme of things.

Because were gettin Al thornton.I've only seen him play vs the Nets and i like what i saw.I haven't even looked at his stats.I'm gonna edit this trade by taking out the GSW picks but thats it.I didn't want to put any picks in the trade but i didn't think it would be realistic for LAC since there taking on an older player with a big contract even if it is VC.And i'm not big on Anderson so that was easy for me.I thought Thornton was a slasher and a shooter from what i saw when we played in LA this year.I also figured AlThor would be better than anyone we got at #11 this year in the draft.

Re: TRADE NJ/LA
I absolutley do not agree that we can't get a better player at #11.
I won't be a dick because you have only seen Thorton vs. us, but believe me he is trash.
I have League Pass for years and I watch the Clips, especially because I had Gordon on most of my fantasy teams.
Thorton has no conscience. He knows how to do one thing, chuck bad shots all day long and into the early morning. Pass.
