NJ/Orlando Trade

Post#1 » by DeViN_HaRRiS » Fri May 15, 2009 8:34 pm

Im not sure if the magics would want to do, but I just wanted to put this out there

Nets give:
Vince Carter
Chris Douglas-Roberts
Maybe a 1st round pick

Nets recieve:
Courtney Lee
Mickael Pietrus
Tony Battie

The reason why I think the Nets should do this is because we are going to pick up some great players like Pietrus and Lee. There are great at playing at the 2 and 3 position. Plus, Lee is young, but the Magics probable wont let him go. Tony Battie is old, but he is decent player and he can be that agressor on the front line.

The Magics would do this is because they would add another super-star onto their team which they somewhat lead because Vince can create his own shot, not just a 3-point shooter. CDR would be great for the Magics because he is young and to me, soon to be a really good player.

Feedback?

No. Why would the Nets throw in a first round pick? You're lucky if Pietrus plays more than 60 games a year if anything Orlando should be throwing NJ a pick... or two.

As for C-Lee... Eh he's decent and currently better than CDR but I don't see him as anything more than an average starter.

I'll pass on this. We're giving way too much up for Lee and Pietrus even though I like both players.

I don't think we have to give up so much in this trade. The Magic are not rebuilding there in win now mode so VC should be enough.I like what i've seen from Lee,he hits some big shots for a young player.
Noway i give up CDR + a pick and make the Magic contenders.

Orlando starting lineup:
Nelson
VC
Turk
Lewis
DH
Thats a sick starting lineup.

How about replace VC with Lucious Harris? It'll work.

I loved Lucious. Looking back on it, he actually used to make a ton of mistakes, but I loved that guy.

We should have just drafted Lee. Thorn screwed that one up, sorry Anderson but I was screaming for Lee on draft day when he was still sitting there. If we swapped Lee for Anderson that would have been our best draft ever. Yeah even better then the Jefferson draft.

I don't see what all the hype about Lee is...
