Would you guys consider this trade?
Josh Childress (S&T at MLE value; 3-4 years)
Speedy Claxton (b/c Childress will be BYC)
Randolph Morris
-for-
Jarvis Hayes
Trenton Hassell
Josh Boone
New Jersey struck me as a good fit for Childress because of their good perimeter shooting.

Re: ATL-NJ Trade
Not really. It's just the wing depth that NJ has that Atlanta could use.
Hassell would be redundant with Childress, and he nullifies most of Speedy's contract, so I figured he was necessary. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hayes sign with Atlanta in the near future anyway since he's from there. Atlanta could always use more frontcourt depth, and I don't like Sean Williams (he's not a good fit anyway)...
To be honest, the one player I'd target would be Dooling, but I don't think the Nets have any real incentive to trade him.

The piece for us would be Childress. But Hell No! on Randolph Morris. For us I would rather dangled Hassell and GSW draft pick for just Childress.
The "Turnpike" deserve a NBA championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems like you are looking for frouncourt depth. I think the Nets would part with Boone (for the crap you are offering) if you are willing to take back Najera as well. He could be a good fit off the bench and provides additional frount coourt depth. Something along the lines of Najera and Boone for Claxton?

Boone's not worth taking on Najera.

Morris is completely optional. He's making the minimum next season.

I dont think we want to trade Hayes.
Hassell, Najera, Boone, and S williams is available. You can have the GSW pick. I also think we have a trade exception dont remember how much and if it can be traded here.

We do have TPE from the Marcus Williams trade for approx. $1.2m. It expires one year after the trade, which I believe was late July '08.

Assuming we're blowing off the idea of making any type of 2010 free agency run, this is a no-brainer IMO.
However, if you're blowing off 2010, this can't be the only move this team makes.
