Its possible - we coould also be potentially acquiring a late round pick in another deal while still keeping #11. I would put much weight into it. They are just doing their homework like they should be doing.

I agree with you, but the fact that only a few teams are working him out is what interested me. I guess the Nets are really liking him, and we will see what happens after the work-out.

I think you're dead on. They're just seeing what is out there. I could see them unloading one of our young frontcourt players for a late 1st to land this kid. Obviously, it'd be a draft night deal because it'd hinder on how the draft plays out, but I think if they went after him, #11 would be kept by us and we'd take a SG there or a (::cringe::) PG. I view Casspi more as a SF which is why I couldn't see us taking a guy like Johnson or something at 11 if we wanted Casspi bad. Of course, we could always take Johnson as insurance in case we don't land Casspi then hold him ransom, but now I'm just looking too deep into things. I'll hold my breath until mid July.

I think it's just due diligence.

Re: Nets Trading Down?
I don't think that is anything at all.
If we did trade down I imagine it would be with Chicago or Minnesota.

Working this kid out, does not necessarily means we are very high on him. I would never trade down to get a guy like him. However, if we do acquire a second round...i would be ok drafting him, while also keeping the 11th pick and getting a guy like Blair or Johnson, or Clark.

That is best case scenario. What I am wondering is if we trade Vince, we might be swapping pics as well with a late round team.

Re: Nets Trading Down?
What?! If we're trading VC, we are not going to also send out a lotto pick and take back a pick in the late 20's. Stop it.

I think it is all depending on what we are getting in return...

There are plenty of small trades that could be made between the Nets and the Wolves that would improve both teams. I suppose a balancing trade could be #11 for #18 + #28 .. I don't know if Casspi lasts to #28 though. Throw Craig Smith on one side ... maybe Boone on the other ...

To me it all depends on who's there and if wwe decide to get in on the fire sales on the lower picks.
I just don't know what Rod and Kiki are thinking and scheming on?
My objective on draft night would be to trade up and get Harden or Hill if it dodn't cost an arm and a leg, unless by some miraculous chance one of them fell to NJ.
If neither of those things happened and no one too good to pass up fell to 11, I likely trade down with Chicago or Minnesota as long as James Johnson, Terrence Williams, DeJuan Blair or to a lesser extent Earl Clark is at either 16 or 18.
Then with either 26 or 28 I take Ellington,Christmas, Mills, Thornton Pendrgraph, or if by some crazy chance he fell that far, Eric Maynor or Teague.
If the trade was with Minny, I would have made sure I got back their highest 2nd and I pick up Nando De Colo. I really want Rod to get this kid. You draft him and stash him in Europe for 2 or 3 years, then bring him over and let him beast.
