Re-doing the 2008 NBA Draft.
I thought it would be fun to go back and see what teams fans would do differently after watching players for a year. Sadly for ya'll, Lopez went off the board pretty early, but given this scenario, who would the Nets select at #10?
Bulls - Derrick Rose
Heat - Michael Beasley
Wolves - Brook Lopez
Thunder - Russell Westbrook
Grizzles - OJ Mayo
Knicks - Danilo Gallinari
Clippers - Eric Gordon
Bucks - Kevin Love
Bobcats - DJ Augustin

Wow the knicks still would have picked linguini? i find that hard to believe. as well as gasol has played i wouldnt like him on this team. id have to go with..... courtney lee? hes been very impressive especially in the playoffs. mario chalmers would also be a nice selection.
oh nevermind i forgot about bayless. bayless 100% even though we have harris.

Dude said linguni.

Without question I go with Jason Thompson. Bayless is gonna be Dooling 2.0 at best. Can't see burning the 10th pick in an absolutely great draft on that. Hell, I'd take Rush, Lee, Randolph, Batum, Anderson, Speights,Chalmers, CDR, that dude with the crazy name on the Bucks, Greene or even Hickson over Payless.
Edit: Lulz @ Miami fans still selecting Beasley. He'd be lucky to go 6xth overall in hindsight.
They must either be too proud to admit it or ignorance is bliss.

I would pick Randolph, but it was most likely gonna be Bayless

That's who I voted for. The guy is still seriously underrated. He can ball.

This sucks. We had a theft at 10. With the players available, I agree with Thompson.

It'd have to be Thompson or Randolph at #10.

Re-doing the draft and we don't even get the option of our guy, who was the steal of the draft.
Ain't that a bitch that be in heat.

Either Thompson or Brandon Rush, and then I'd use the 21st to take Koufos.

Bayless and Thompson are too close, I'll give it a little longer and see if we get a clear winner.

The only reason I might not take Anderson again is because of the Yi trade.
I don't think people see the potential in Ryan that he has, or at least that I see him having.

You hit it on the head, its Yi: that iis the reason why I wouldn't take Anderson again. I was trying to be neutral and remember how I felt back then, and I was high on Yi at the time, hence me mentioning Koufos. I did like the Thompson pick at the time, and I recall me lking Brandon Rush, too.

can I just ask why you guys feel you need a pg? Is dooling at least decent if harris isn't playing? Harris is a G in the game, he's gonna EXPLODE next year, mo williams/jameer nelson are gimmicks, harris can slash at will and dish out even if he never gets a great jumper (I think is underated)

Re: Re-doing the 2008 NBA Draft.
we need a 3rd string point guard. We're completely screwed if Dooling or Devin ever get hurt for an extended period of time. Management said it during the season, Vince and Devin both said it this offseason.
Now I'm totally opposed to drafting one in July unless we buy a 2nd round pick. I'm not giving #11 guaranteed money to a kid who is gonna play 10 minutes a game while Devin is on our team.
