Nets/Twolves trade

Post#1 » by Harris2Lopez » Thu Jun 18, 2009 1:29 pm

i know its impossible but i think it make sense
nets get AL 18th and 28th picks(also some expiring contracts)
twolves get Yi Carter 11th pick

Nets with 18th pick select Hansbrough or Casspi or ellington or Budinger or clark if he falls or williams
Nets with 28th pick select eric maynor or ty lawson

Honestly, we could probably get 18 and 28 for 11 if we wanted to. Maybe we'd have to throw in something like 1-2 future 2nds but we'd probably rather do that instead of this.

p.s. I like you, but don't mention Budinger ever as a possibility for the Nets. You did redeem yourself though by mentioning Eric Maynor. He won't fall to 28, but that kid is awesome.

You know, I too once had a case of loser denial.

Hate to bust your insanely unrealistic bubble, but there are two players worth trading for on your roster, and neither one of them was listed. Jefferson is a top 5 Power Forward in this league, what makes you think you could land him with VC (who's best days are well behind him) and Yi (who sucks horribly).

Id much prefer to go after boozer than jefferson. jefferson is an elite player and its going to take ALOT more than what you mentioned to land a player like al. boozer is great as well but is a free agent so it would be much easier to get him via sign and trade as opposed to trying to pry al from minnesota.

Al is a very good young bigman, but top-5 in the NBA is stretching it.

In any case, yes, this is good value for the Nets, but I would not want to put Al and Brok together in our system. I'm not sure there is a system that can support two plodding low-post types. Add to that the fact that Al has proven over the course of his career to be a defensive liability at PF (of Zach Randolph proportions), and it's an easy no for me.

I might do Vince/Yi for Love/Miller/#6...

Ahehe... some people are really like that. I don't know if they are just greedy or they really don't have the FEEL for basketball, meaning, maybe they don't know how to look at talents and if a player is good or not.

Don't hate.

Well in all fairness, Minny should throw in Foye for Najera, I mean Yi is an international celeb...
