Post#1 » by halfHAVOC » Sat Jul 4, 2009 4:41 am

i PREDICT

PG: Harris
SG: Lee
SF: Cdr
PF: Yi
C: Lopez

i am pretty sure Lee will start at the 2 because hes the most experienced out of cdr and twill , but iono if twill might get a starting nod over cdr? i dont see it happening but who knows maybe hayes starts lol?

Yeah, I don't think CDR starts either. TWIll or Simmons will start at the 3 IMO, with Harris/Lee in the backcourt and Yi/Lopez up front.

i'm curious 2 see what is going to happen with skip... i can see:

1) Skip
2) Devin
3) Twill - CDR??
4) Yi
5) Lopez

i wouldn't put bobby simmons at the 3 because i think it'll mess with the line up scheme... this is a athletic defensive, scrambling 5 (with the exception of Yi).

i think Bobby and hayes with dooling is good offense off the bench.

and i have CDR starting at the 3.

Let me just say that, eventually, I see TW starting at SG long-term, with Lee and CDR backing up the wing spots. I am not banking on us landing a certain crab-dribblernext summer, but we'll get someone decent with our capspace, and it makes the most sense for it to be a swingman.

Howard, Johnson, Gay, Brewer, Miller, McGrady, Allen are all FAs next summer, but that's not the only way to fill this need. TPEs create a wealth of alternate possibilities.

WITH ALL THAT SAID, I wouldn't be surprised if Lee started alongside Williams, if for no other reason than to justify the VC trade. In that case, I think Hayes would be a better bench complement to CDR than Simmons, so Bobby may fall out of the rotation altogether.

I see the point you're trying to make, yet I don't see the point in even mentioning Brewer, McGrady or Allen. Brewer is meh, McGrady is finished and Ray Ray is a dinosaur.

I dont want Ray at this point....but he is NOT a Dinosaur. He had a fantastic year....by far the Cetics best player this past season.

Come on dude, Pierce was most definitely their best player all season and by leaps and bounds during the playoffs, if not Rondo, Allen isn't even in those talks.
Allen actually had a pretty damn bad playoffs including a just putrid series against Orlando where he looked like he was 43 years old.
Even the series vs. Chicago he had one good game and one fantastic one, the other 5 he was horrible, not even average or subpar.

I want you to show me where I used the word playoffs.

I said he had the best YEAR of any Celtics player...and i stand by that emphatically. he was fantastic this past season. Did he have an off playoffs? Yes he did. But he was the most consistent...AND best player during the 82 game regular season.

I will asume you based your entire comment on his playoffs and didnt watch him play as that your reaction was so surprised. But go ahead and dig yourself out of a hole now...you know i love that....
