Depending on who they sign, Mr. Anderson might be Orlando's starting PF come opening night.

I doubt it. I'd expect them to start these guys:

Howard
Lewis
Carter
Pietrus
Nelson

Before they start Anderson.

I really think they need Pietrus coming off the bench as the 6 man personally. I agree I think this is the starting rotation game 1, but I stated in a post earlier today, I seriously believe Anderson could be the starting 4 by game 82. Orlando does desperately need to address some front court depth now though.

^^I agree about the need for a man off the bench to bring them some scoring, but, I think they need a defender a lot more. When playing Cleveland or LA, who's gonna guard Lebron and Kobe??... I doubt they'd want Vince, their main scorer to be on them on defense. Rashard can't guard these guys either. We'll see.

I sure hope so, I mean he was traded for Ryan Nowitzki.

Anderson is doing good in the summer league, but when Ager scores 21 pts, you have to question the competition.

If they match Gortat's offer, I can see a

Nelson, VC, Lewis, Gortat, Howard starting line up.

Orlando as already said they're almost definitely not matching the Gortat offer.
Also, I could care less about his summer league performances, I always liked this kids potential.
Last, the Nowitzki comment was obviously a joke on myself. :)

Lee is money from mid-range...especially off the dribble. When you can fill it up that way, a lost art in the NBA, it isn't far fetched to think that he could average 20 a game in the right situation. Harris and Lee makes me envious of your backcourt....especially in the future.

Courtney Lee is like a power version of Luu.
I don't see his potential yet.

Orlando matched Gortat's contract.

So my lineup stands.

Nelson, VC, Lewis, Gortat, Howard

They just need a back up PF/C. Gortat plays Defense, Rebounds and is good around the basket. Anderson most likely will come off the bench.

Lee's ceiling?
Maybe very similar to Rip Hamilton, with a better 3 ball and much more limited playmaking skills?
Sigh...

I like Anderson too...and agreed I would have prefered he had not been a throw in...give them Bone or SWAT instead.

However...I have to laugh at you calling him a future star and calling a guy like Bayless Keyon Dooling at best.

Remind me...were you one of those guys pining for Josh McRoberts a couple of drafts back?

I honestly think it's gonna be Nelson/Vince/Lewis/Bass/Howard with Pietrus/Gortant/Anderson/JJ the main guys off the bench. That's not too shabby. They need 1 more vet and then they'll be looking pretty good. That's a lot of firepower though.

No I wasn't a Josh McRoberts guy, but I was a Ike Diougu guy.
I was always very low on Bayless and I don't see what he has done that should have steered me in any other direction.
He's a 6'1, maybe 6'2 shooting guard and he really has no point guard skills what so ever.
His defense is OK, but not great.
Playmaking and passing skills are crap.
I thought he was a ball stopper on Arizona that hinder his team's overall success.
It was madness when he was getting talked up as a top 4 pick, he gpt drafted right about where he should have. There is a reason he got almost no burn on a team looking for any upgrade it could get at the point guard position.

From what I was reading they weren't going to match, I was hearung Gortat didn't want them to either, but we'll see how that works out.

BTW, they edited one of my posts on that other Nets site. I wrote and I paraphrase very accurately, "If Yi finally grows a pair.", someone edited it so it read, "If Yi gets some guts."
Are you kidding me? :-?

Well, as established in the other thread...he is 6' 3" so you were wrong about that. But to speak to what I said over there...its about his scoring skills. I agree...he is not a pure point...but hey neither is Devin Harris, or a Gilbert Arenas. I think he could be a scoring elite guy...and that is why I had him 4th on my board as well. Now...thse are not my typical fav players...but I loved him as a prospect...love him still.

And I still love what I see from IKE btw. Did you see his last two games this year when he got to play? The guy still impresses me. Would LOVE to get him.

That is such a hideous comparison. Ike may never make it....but that was absolutely a terrible comparison.
