The Nets originally had a GSW future first with the following protections:
top 14 protected in the 2011 Draft, top 11 protected in 2012, and top 10 protected in the 2013 Draft. If the Nets still don't get the 1st after 2013, then they get 2nd round picks in 2013 and 2015.
Now the Nets get a lesser protected GSW first in 2012 and two 2nd round picks. It doesn't say when NJ gets the 2nd rounders or what the protection on the pick is.
Basically the Nets get two 2nd rounders for waiting a year for a 1st rounder with less protection.

I'm indifferent to the trade. The Nets have a # of young players as it is by 2012 I think they'll have a much clearer picture of who to keep and who to let go / trade so I guess if you look at things like that it works out for the better...
