Nets Game

Post#1 » by crazykidd2k6 » Mon Nov 9, 2009 3:36 am

Yesterday, I went to the Nets game against the Celtics. I haven't been in the Nets games ever since I believe 4 years ago when they played against the Wizards. At that time we were an above average team and we were winning. I remember there were a descent amount of people that were ACTUALLY Nets fans. Anyway, Yesterday the experience was just horrible. First, half of the people in the stadium were Celtics fan. That is just sad when you are playing in your home-court and seeing half of the fans cheer for the opposing team. I just feel bad for the Nets team they probably feel like they are always playing away. Second I finally figured why no one is ever enthusiastic in Nets games. I believe it is the announcer and the entertainer guy that gives out the t-shirts during timeouts fault. The announcer just says the most random things when somebody make a good basket. He just makes the people feel awkward and just tilt your head and say "WTF?" Also, the Entertainer guy's voice had the most annoying voice ever He had this high squeeky/raspy voice that got me a headache during the game. Also, he didn't get any fans riled up because he just didn't have the charisma to be an entertainer. I really felt sometimes the only reason why fans cheer for the Nets is to just be courteous. All in all it just made me not want to go back to another Nets game again or at least until they start winning

I think it's a well known fact that the majority of sports fans in New Jersey suck... There are some real sports fans, but there are so many flip-flopping front-running SOB's that it's impossible to deny it.

That's why they need to get the hell out and move to NY. Jersey is just a sorry state.

I feel your pain at the 1st homegame felt like everyone was rooting for the other team. The announcer even said that's a VC3 for Vince... It's sad Jersey doesn't cheer for the Nets.
In a way I'm glad they didn't win the championship years back the parade would have less than 20,000 people and fake cheers coming out the speakers...
