If you were the nets president...

Post#1 » by brook_11 » Sun Feb 28, 2010 12:24 pm

Well, i am aware of all the threads we already have about the 2010 free angency. I guess every nets fan think about it all the time. So, my question to you guys is: we have about 34 million in cap space i think, which would allow us to sign a max free agent and a guy for about 10-12 million. Then, which players would you sign?
I personally would like to sign David Lee for for 60 million over 5 years, but i dont know about the max player. I obviously want Lebron, but i dont know if he leaves cleveland. If we cant sign him, i´d rather just sign Lee and wait another year to try to make a run at Kevin Durant or Carmelo Anthony than overpay Rudy Gay.

I don't think we have 34 million in cap space, you have to remember that to include the salaries of our future draft picks. The 1st pick makes like 5 mil.

Kevin Durant isn't leaving Oklahoma in 2011.. he's a restricted free agent.

60 Million for David Lee, no thanks.
