I never "disliked" Humphries. I know he plays hard and I respected that. The main reason I always trashed him on this board is because raptor fans always through him in as the "young player with upside" guy when talking hypothetical Vince trades. That made me want to puke. Either way, I'm happy with the trade that eventually landed him here.

With his strong recent play. Could he be our Moose? If he can average a double double the rest of the way I would be mighty happy

it was always an upgrade in my mind based on youth and health...

Kris Humphries reminds of a rich man's Aarron Williams...I think he could be better and has more game on both sides of the court...

This is pretty much an ideal place for Humphries. He was always playing behind other guys, or on teams that couldn't afford his mistakes and silliness. Basically, he needed free reign, which he should get on the Nets.

Humphries is a capable play AS LONG as he plays within his abilities.. when he starts to think he is Michael Jordan.. it's time to take him out of the game.

My only concern is his shot sellection. But when you watch some of the bone head shot's other team mates take.... Well when in Rome. I just think with the right role and the right leaders around him (not Diki) he might cut that **** down

yeh its gets to be too much...I kind of laugh watching the games...he just loves to hoist up shots...(dont give him any room  )...I thought he was getting better, but he does have issues w/ the MJ complex at times on the offensive end...overall, his energy and aggressiveness does a lot for this team...

If Humphries could just stay within his role he would be a very serviceable player. The fact that his MJ switch turns on once in a while will really begin to annoy you guys.

it annoys me now...especially since his jumper has fallen off a bit...needs to stay w/in 15ft...probably more like 13ft...needs to lose that itchy trigger finger...still a better player than I thought before his Nets days...then again, anyone can look good in a Nets uni who isnt playing like its a HS game...

Humphries started out putting up really strong numbers that have fallen off recently. I don't get to see many NJN games so I was just wondering what is associated with his recent struggles?

-He takes like 2 fadeaways per game.
-He's constantly forcing shots over 2-3 defenders and ends up missing badly on most of them.
-He constantly shoots it from 16 feet and beyond and barely touches the rim.

Well thats too bad. In the few opportunities he had in Dallas to play he consistantly played inside. I can remember very few shots from the outside. He seemed like a good kid, hopefully he develops some more and plays within himself.

I am a big ten guy and have followed him since his days at Mn. He was a McDonalds All American and committed to Duke, but then changed to the Gophers. He only played one year of college, but led the Big Ten in scoring and rebounding as a frosh. Really amazing for a young guy. I always thought he was built to play in the association. Glad to hear he is playing well for you guys.

I'm glad the Mavs traded Humphries and Drug Dealing Class A Felony Shawne Williams for Najera. Humphries could become a nice young role player for New Jersey in the future and Najera gives Dallas a spark plug and hustle player off the bench.
