Nothing to LOL at there. It just proves that Net fans overrate Brook to the extreme as do fans of other teams with their own players. That deal is definitely pushing the limits and i would turn it down, but its not LOL.

Re: This made me LOL
It's honestly not a terrible deal, but I just don't like Spencer Hawes.
I look at Brook's so called "down year" he just had with a grain of salt. He degraded defensively and improved offensively. He's still mad young and just needs to develop consistency. I think adding a true #1 scorer will make him exponentially more productive.
Honestly, as illogically high as I may be on Brook, there is only a short list of players I would trade him in a package for.
This team needs a #1 scorer somewhere on the wing and a not worthless PF. If you make Brook the 2nd or AT LEAST have a player on the court that forces defenses to play him more honest, he would be a borderline all-star every year. Of course, call me illogical because we have different opinions on Brook.
It's really not a bad offer though. I don't like Hawes, but he's not that bad.

It could be worst but I mean you're giving up the 3rd pick and Lopez for pretty much Wall. That 33rd pick and Hawes are basically throw ins. I know what I'm getting from Lopez...not to much Wall, although you assume he's gonna be a star. Favors also has star potential so I'll take my chances with him and Lopez rather than just Wall and a couple role players.

Addition by subtraction...not a smart move...
Get over Wall...He's gonna be good player in this league, but every year it amazes me how fans get fixated on certain draft prospects...the Net are better keeping both Devin and Brook, and if you want to make a move, use Harris...

Re: This made me LOL
Brook would be a overall 1st/2nd pick this years draft.
Everyone seriously undervalues brook.
Lopez + 3rd overall pick for Wall + 33rd pick and Hawes.
I think Lopez (Legit) + 3rd overall pick is worth much more than the 1st pick(Wall = unproven for now). to 33rd ( not much value ) + (Hawes = Whom I do like, but still has more to prove).
No reason to move Lopez unless we get a solid young star + whatever else that's worth a 3rd overall pick.
SAC
Outgoing : 5th pick, 33rd pick, Hawes
Incoming : Lopez
Why : Kings get all-star caliber center they desperately want.
NJN
Outgoing : 3rd pick, Lopez
Incoming : 1st pick (was), 33rd pick (sac), Hawes
Why : Nets get Wall, which they always wanted.
WAS
Outgoing : 1st
Incoming : 3rd pick (njn), 5th pick (sac)
Why : wiz have arenas. No one in the league would be ready to take his huge contract. So getting rid of arenas is almost impossible for wiz. Instead of adding another PG, they upgrade by drafting favors (pf) and wesley (sg)

Re: This made me LOL
This is funny.
There is NO way I am trading LOPEZ unless the player that is coming back is Dwight Howard.
The funny thing is if Riley could some how have a do over the 2008 Draft, lopez would have been drafted #2.
So to all the NETS Fans, Lopez isnt being overvalued.
To Demens, You are a character but I like people who play devils advocate.
Lets Stop with the Wall for Lopez. It doesnt make sense. WE LUCKED OUT OF THE #1 and #2 pick.
LET IT GO!!!!!!!

I saw on ESPN Insider rumors this morning the Wizards and Knicks may do a trade:
Gilbert Arenas for Eddie Curry.
A blurb about it is on HoopsHype too.
You ever look at the forums on HoopsHype? The Net fans on their are bigger homers than some of the guys on NetsDaily.

Until you can name me just 2 other 22 year old 7 footers in the league that have a better post game that are near averaging 20/10, 80% ft shooter on a rookie conract, this nets fan will unashamedly keep "overrating" him. Theres absolutely no reason to do that trade. Brook is a stud and if your gonna trade him why do it now before he's even reached his full potential?
