Devin is closer to the level of Baron Davis then Rondo/Rose. Is he doesn't get his head right he wont even be a top 15 pg.

Exactly.

Rondo is easily the 4th best point guard in the league, if not a 3b to Nash's 3a.

Rose IMHO, is the 5th best.

Devin is hovering somewhere around 9 to 12 and if he doesn't get his ish straight he's going to be passed by a few of these young guns and fall out of the top 10 talks.

Though I hate to admit Rondo improves every time I see him, I still am biased and refuse to acknowledge he's a top 5 pg in the league until I see him do what he does with a regular team. In history, I can't think of another PG who had the pleasure of having 3 hall of famers in the starting 5 with him. I need to see him do what he does with a group of players in the caliber level of maybe, say like the Hawks or Bulls. Can he has as big of an x-factor impact on those teams that he does on the Celtics. I think he benefits from the big 3 and exceptional leadership of that team.

I hear you, but let's not make it out like he's playing with 3 HOFer's in their primes.
Although these guys are still very good players, they're borderline dinosaurs.
He's maybe their best player right now and if not he's a close second to Garnett.

I hate Rondo as much as the next guy, but that doesn't mean I can't be reasonable and honest.
He's currently better then Rose and he's top 5.

If not him, then please tell me who is...

He's playing with 3 HOF but he is the best player on the team. Plus he played with 2 last year and managed to average a triple dip in the play-off series.

I wasn't a fan of him either, but he has earned the props.

Devin Harris was an allstar once upon a time..................then he became the #1 option on a team.I'll give Rondo his props he's really taking advantage of the opportunity that was given to him.

You mean like winning a championship, basically averaging a triple double through two rounds of the playoffs when KG was hurt, 4th in the league in assists per game, leading the league in steals and arguably being the best player on a legit contender with 3 HOFers? :dontknow:

@ vc4p Rose>Rondo

Can't disagree more.

Rondo is good,I'm just saying it's different when a defense can focus on shutting you down. You have to live with Rondo beating you because there no way your leaving Ray,Paul or KG open.

That roster looks like it would be Cav's-lite. Brand hasn't shown he can do a damn thing since his injuries. If we wanted an overpaid bench player to shoot baseline jumpers, we could just resign Bobby Simmons for food stamps. He'd be just as effective for us as Brand would be at this point.

I'm just saying #2/Brand for a pure cap move does not interest me in any capacity. If you can make it a 3 team deal where we send out something like Harris/Hump/Yi so we still retain decent cap space then I may consider it, still declining in the end. There are other deals we can pursue to make Jersey more enticing to Lebron than #2/Brand.

Why are the Sixers not calling the Spurs? I think the Spurs are a team that would definitely think about this move.

First question. If we were to entertain this type of deal, is harris and fillers enough for #2 and Brand? Or are you expecting the #3 pick?

You can't be serious.

Devin >> Mo
Turner (#2) >>>>>>>> Parker
Cousins (#3) > Jamison
Lopez >>>> O'neal

Also, our bench (Conley/Lee/Williams/Brand/Yi) easily beats the Cavliers' (Gibson/West/Moon/Hickson/Varejao).

We'd be a younger, cheaper, better version of the team that just won 61 games. Oh, and we'll have a better coach, bank on it. So, um, yeah, this WOULD be a worthwhile deal.
