But you're a guy so you don't count. Asian women, especially if they take care of themselves, can really look young for their age. A cousin of mine got married at 30, and if you saw the picture you'd think she's 15 or 16.

Speedy you are Asian?

FrancisM is one of my favorite musician, ever. If Speedy knows him, he's got to be Asian.

On the Wiz board I was making the point that this trade has an awful lot ot do with marketing potential and endorsement deals for Wall and maybe also team revenue. I'm more iffy on the team revenue, but I have heard you guys casually mention somewhere or another about the players on your team having endorsement deals in China.

This was shot down by someone with a direct ear to team personnel who called the money "a trickel", but I'm still having a hard time buying it. Especially considering Wall is with Reebok, same as Yao, and also shares an agent with Yi (Dan fegan). I think it's all about the Yuan, baby.

Anyway, my google-fu was pretty spotty in coming up with Nets player endorsement deals in the Empire, though I found a bunch of Rocket links. Could anyone help out with a link for assorted Nets players who were directly benefiting fiscally from the Chinese connection? Or maybe corroborate with something quotable?

I would much appreciate it, folks. And good luck in the great chase.

You know...I actually googled it because I didnt know what you meant?

I have a Philppino son? I mean JJ says it to me...that one sure fire way to get me to take someone's head off is for them to go after you on the boards. That you are like my prodigy...lol. Could it be possible?

Philippino huh? Any chance your Mom's name is Glynda??? OOOOOPS....never mind. Telling on myself from the college years.

And before Basketcase reads this and starts crying...you are still my JD...dont worry.

I don't know how much the other Nets players benefited, but the Nets as a team had something like 10 big-time Chinese sponsors and a nice TV contract, details of which were never really released.

I could see how having Yi will enhance Wall's earning potential though. John Wall has the type of game that the Chinese gravitate towards...

Yi will give the Wizards exposure to China but what happens with that exposure is up to the Wizards...

*It should be noted that in the past players such as Damon Jones were able to secure shoe contracts with Chinese manufacturers thanks to the exposure they got playing next to a Chinese player (Wang Zhi-Zhi)

LMAO dude i was born and grew up in the Philippines hahaha. But it's cool, you're like the father figure to us all here. The connection was probably that I took on your role somewhat while you were gone lol. I was the one torching trolls in your place (without the (Please Use More Appropriate Word) sister comments) while you were away.

(Please Use More Appropriate Word) sister??? HA! Was that one of mine? Damn...when i get rolling.

Thanks for the father figure comment but the bond was long before I took time off. JJ will tell you...my first fight with GUMP was because he belittled you on something and I wasnt having that. Took a lot of fights and going head to head for GUMP and I to gain respect for each other after that.

BY the way....did anyone hear what the Cletic fans tuanted Odom with during the finals? They chanted.... Ug-ly Sis-ter".

I meam THAT is the kind of NASTY only Boston fans can do....lol.

Much appreciated on the scoop there Mikhail; seems the "details of which were never really released" angle might explain my poor luck with the Google searches.

But it does seem that the Wizards stated company line of "it's all about the hoops" isn't quite watertight and I'm sure efforts are being made to finagle up some Peking gravy as we speak.

Thanks again.
