What's good guys,

Read through your post and was curious to get your thoughts...

AK plays SF for us but some say he is most effective at PF. He is not bulky, but he doesn't back down to anyone and uses his length to his advantage. I don't know your style of play but if you guys have more of an up tempo offense I think he could be a good player for you.

He does have a huge contract but it expires this year so your cap would take a hit this year. However, you could try him out for a year, if he works out maybe sign him for less next year. If not, let him go and go after Melo or your other targets.

I don't know for what or if the Jazz would be willing to just dump him for cap relief. Just curious if you would be interested and see what you be willing to part with? A pick, picks, pick + player, anything?

We are 15 mil under the cap and our best chance to get better is to use that cap space SMART, add lottery picks and make trades for a star who might get dumped with other salary a team would look to shed. We are set up to get the lopsided deal in our favor cap wise.

AK is a guy who hasnt come close in the last 3 years of earning his cash. His best value to you guys is at the trade deadline if you want to convert him into a better player on a worse contract. BECAUSE of that huge expring contract...NOT because of his talent or value. Wouldnt give you a TPE and second rounder for him. MAkes no sense for us. But, you could get a Jamison type, or an Okafor or a Biedrins for him at the break....no doubt.

As for trying him out? Used tolove him before he became a mediocire role player far removed from the role playing elite game changer he used to be. When would we have interest? NEXT SUMMER when he is a free agent and he can be signed to a contract in line with the level of useful rotation guy he is now. Basically...an MLE type of player. Until then...no way are we your trade partner.

We discussed Ak plenty of times before. The main motivation for Utah to move him was to clear cap for Boozer and stay under tax. Now that that isn't an problem.........wait, just remembered they got Al, so they are pretty close to the tax. Basically you're not getting anything of value for AK, Ross and a 2nd rounder.

How about CLee (tear) for Taj Gibson? They need a starting SG we need a starting PF.

This one has been mentioned on the Trades board a week or two ago, I think it's a solid move.

I like Lee, but if you can get a Gibson or Jason Thompson type big for him, I think it's a move you have to make.

I'd rather have Thompson for Lee/2nd rnder. But bigs are hard to come by so the Bulls/Kings would probably ask for more.

Agreed, then you plug Morrow at the starting SG spot.

So Houston just spend a lot of money on Scola and Brad Miller. They have Yao and rookie Patterson too. IIRC they are over the tax now. Chuck Hayes anyone?

No take backs! You said "for the record!"

I'll give you Love and Pekovic to form a great young 3-man PF/C rotation, and Sessions

Come on. Id rather start Favors and hope he gets off to an awesome start then to throw in the towl.

And if you sign Smith to start at PF, he would likely be the worst starting PF in the league as well.

Haha, you know what this reminds me of? Remember when we started Twin and Boone as our PF-C tandem? Talk about worst in the league! Just be glad that those days are long gone haha  .
