I would have prefered they let a trained monkey, any 9 year old kid fresh from a VC4P ass kicking in the park, or anyone who has ever worn a Nets mascot uniform (incuding, Dunkin, and Super Dunk) over Jeff VanGoofus.

About the only thing worse would have been Mark Jackson. "Kob Bryant is the great player in the history of the planet. I love Kobe so much that I wear Kobe pajamas. Kobe is so great that when he comes to my house I tell my kids to call HIM daddy." I am Mark Jackson....and I am NOT better than that.

FCUK KOBIATCH...and the Mark Jackson/Van Goofus horse he rode in on.

I don't know what Sam Mitchell has done to get himself another NBA coaching job. Doesn't seem like anybody he coached in Toronto liked him, or benefitted from his being there. You can point to Bosh all you like, but he was going to be a stud no matter who coached him. He just had the gifts coming into the league.

I'm kind of surprised we didn't call up Jeff Van Gundy, being that he has New York credentials, and would be the most proven coach available to sign. I'm not even sure if he was on the list.
As far as front office goes??????????????? What the heck are they thinking? I only see one good option out there for us, and he worked in Portland. Billy King has done nothing of interest. And Danny Ferry?? Where did that name come from all of a sudden? lol?

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this all turns out.

I guess you haven't been paying attention to anything thats been going on this summer. Avery is not a long term option? He's coached 1 team and is 45 years old, how is that any indication that he's not a long term option? What has Sam Mitchell done to get an NBA job, is that a joke?

That whole 2nd paragraph is just :o . Yes Van Gundy was a candidate, he was one of the top candidates actually and expressed that he had zero interest in job after we lost out on the #1 pick. Not only that, **** Van Gundy, the guy was in no way a better option then Avery anyway imo. Where did Danny Ferrys name come from? How about the fact that he is a respected and credible NBA lifer that recently became available and ohh, we have an opening? Fans can hate all they want, the guy gets props around the league. As for Pritch, i'd love him, but with so many open GM positions the only people that seem to be considering him are the fans, i think that says a little something about him.

By the way, the closest Kevin Pritchard came to the Nets job was in the lobby of the Bellagio Monday night, when he was seen chatting with Onexim poohbah Christophe Charlier. That’s as close as he got. Not close enough, one might say. Newark Star-Ledger

I won't waste my time reading your entire post, but experts and analyst have said when Avery was fred from Dallas that the style of coaching, and offense that he uses is a short term boost 1 and done style, because one other teams have had a season to reflect on it, it becomes less effective, and not ore in the second season. I saw this exact discussion on both ESPN, and TNT.

You know what I will say onbe more thing. Fans shouldn't matter when it comes to hireing front office guys, thats how Isiah Thomas got his job. Oh did I forget to mention another cit with high demands for a certain type of GM PHILLY, Um They got their Billy King, and hey also got a 10 year pile of trash capped off with Elton Brand.

And for your comment on Danny Ferry, I know who he is, and how respected he is, no pelase post me his GM resume to discuss any farther. Thanks.

Great, if you can't handle 2 paragraphs no wonder you have no idea what you're talking about. ESPN and TNT

It would take over 2 paragraphs so i dont see the point. Its interesting to hear that the fans hired Isiah Thomas, never knew that. Is that something you heard on TNT also?

You think Isiah Thomas gets a front office job in NY after being shafted by Bird for not being able to do his job, and then proving he can't do his job while in NY, but having gods protection from being shafted by dolan, only to be fired with a chance of being rehired this offseason for ANY other reason other then the fact that he wll do a number of things to sell tickets, be Isiah (enourmous name) have a repatour with several players who aren't worth a dime in an NBA uniform (see Eddy Curry) be the topic of just about everything on every Knick message board during his tenure.

He has no front office skills, he is a marketing piece in that position. What exactly are you argueing? Without the negative comments you hide behind would be appriciated.
