Unless the trade brings in a big time pf then he should not be traded. And trading him won't return a star pf. we will get a decent role player for Twill. I think he will be a star in a few years he just needs the support and time. He has the skills, he can handle the ball like a point, pass like a point and drive like a 2. Once he gets his shooting down, which I believe he will, he will be a very very good player and a star to put next to lopez. Teams with star 2 guards and star centers usually win championships. I think in a year or two he will be that second star with lopez. the other players we have like lee and marrow are just role players. Twill has the potential to be a star and I think he will work hard to get there because he has that mentality.

TWill reminds of a pass first JR Smith. A flashy and athletic player you hope you can coach up. I say we keep him, because he seems to have something special. Oh, and make him work on his scoring.

What a comforting comparison.

I know it doesn't sound good, but having a player that can control the game off the bench is always good.

After hearing Avery's comments...sadly...yes. When I read between the lines...Twill seems to me as the prospect most likely to be dealt. There is huge interest in him after showing he can create offense in SL. We are loaded with wings...and he had much more to say about everyone else BUT him.

Wouldnt be shocked to see him dealt at all....and I think its a mistake.

Does anyone really believe he'll ever be an above average scorer? He was one of the worst offensive players in the league last year.

He has three strikes against him as a scorer right now and needs to fix at least two of them to be a big time scorer that defenses must fear and respect, game plan against.

1) Needs to get his jumper a lot better. He doesn't necessarily need to become some sick knock down shooter, but he needs to get it to a respectable level, at least like a Wade, Caron Butler or Stephen Jackson type.

2) He has to finish much better and have better overall shot selection. Too many floaters and pull up jumpers when he should be taking it all the way to the rack and yamming it. He doesn't love to use the glass on layups either. I used to say at Louisville that he didn't like to take it in and get fouled because he was so unconfident in his free throw shooting he didn't want to risk it...

3) He has to become at least an average level free throw shooter. He doesn't need to be a Nash-like freak, but he needs to be a consistent 70 something percenter.

This maybe a lot to ask of an "older" prospect who is set in his ways, but if he doesn't improve in these areas he will never be more then a nightly enigma.

When running an offense he needs to better understand substance over flash and has to stop ignoring the big men and the simple post up entry past. This would also run hand in hand with his ability to improve his finishing and free throw shooter because he has a ton of potential as an off the ball slasher working off of Brook and even Favors on the low and high elbow block.

Honestly, if Twitt could ever learn how to finish and play defense, i wouldn't be so against keeping him here. Even if he can't cut down on the TOs and turn overs, all i ask is to learn how to make lay-ups and effort on defense, it couldn't be any simpler.
