I know that but I was just specifically referring to the idea that the guy seems to imply that Pau wasn't good before he came to the Lakers. He made the Allstar team in the '05-'06 season. Just look at his season averages since he started. He was a great player before the trade. It's just that he was talented in Memphis versus Los Angeles and he was playing by himself rather than arguably the best player in the league in Kobe. He was good but many people don't remember because he wasn't on national TV all the time like he is now.

He was saying that Gasol got better in LA, trying to make a point that Kobe makes his teammates better. He wasn't trying to say that Gasol sucked before the trade. Maybe reading the whole article would put it in context. Saying noone wanted to touch him is an exaggeration obviously everyone does that to make a point.

I honestly don't know if Brook can fight through mono and get back to top form. I've had it and it isn't just a regular cold. McGee and Wallace cuts don't surprise me. I would have kept Mayo and dropped one of the point guards, we have like 5.

I never had it, so i dont know how it works, but by all accounts he is FULLY recovered. What he is struggling with is being out of shape and his conditioning as a result of having mono, but nothing is preventing him from getting that in check.

This may be true, but fully recovered doesn't mean he's back to his playing weight. When you lose 20+ pounds like he did, that's not something you get back over night.... unless of course you go on the Eddy Curry diet.

From my experience it lingered (even until now). Got it last year and I got fatigue, memory loss, stomach pains, and body aches. Just basically random ailments on top of a sore throat. All that other stuff went away (after about 4-5 months), but I still have the sore throat. *shrugs* Hopefully with the doctors that Brook has he has a full recovery.
