Thanks jeff. How did we get two picks from warriors? I know it has some thing to do with the marcus williams trade. Anything else?

One of the picks we actually gave to the Warriors for Morrow, but unless were a top 5 team in the NBA next year. We'll be keeping that pick.

Re: Draft Picks
1. Warriors 1st Round Pick:
- 2012 (Top 7 protected)
- 2013 (Top 7 protected)
- 2014 (Top 6 protected)
If not conveyed by 2014, the Nets will Receive 2014 + 2016 Warriors 2nd Round Draft Picks
2. Warriors 2nd Round Pick (this was the deal that restructured the protection on the Warriors first round pick that's owed to the Nets)
- 2011 (unprotected)
3. Heat 2nd Round Pick (Chris Quinn trade):
- 2012 (unprotected)
4. Bulls 2nd Round Pick (via Milwaukee, CDR trade)
- 2012 (unprotected)
Originally the Nets traded Marcus Williams for a 2011 first round (protected) pick from the Warriors. Basically the Warriors gave the Nets a 2nd round pick and reduced the protection on the pick (it was top 14 protected I believe) in order to move the draft pick from 2011 to 2012 giving them more flexibility in the short term.

Re: Draft Picks
I think the amount of picks we have over the next 3 years and their value are greatly overstated by a lot of people. Most of them are worthless 2nd rounders. Our 2011 pick and the GSW pick are the only one's with true value and how much will vary greatly based upon this season and beyond.

In truth, it has made it worse for the Warriors since they did not trade their 2010 #1 pick (the whole point of the additional 2nd rounder).
Speaking as a Warriors fan, we have had some of the biggest idiots in the front office in all of the NBA ever since Chris Cohan became the majority owner in 1994. I can't wait for the sale of the team to be completed in the next month or so.
I asked this question in the Warriors forum (no responses yet), but I was wondering what it would take for the Nets to return that pick to the Warriors? Any player on the team? A swap of players? Cash? I can safely say about the only player not available from the Warriors is Stephen Curry.

It would probably have to be a big trade where the Warriors are sending out Ellis either to the Nets (in which case I'd imagine the Nets are sending Harris to someone) or to a third team with someone of value coming back to the Nets.
Realistically speaking though, I can't see the Warriors pick being traded anytime soon.
The Nets are kind of in a wait-and-see mode right now. They need to figure out what they have before they can trade for what they need.
